The sun was setting and that made the cold that much sharper.  By this point, Ianto's lips were starting to turn blue, but at least he found a landmark that Jack knew.  While he wanted, Ianto tormented himself with visions of blankets and mugs of hot tea, both of which he was certain he wasn't about to get.  It was nice to dream, though.

Ianto stood in the doorway of the building, peering out into the snow, simply waiting, with his arms wrapped round himself and his worries clear on his face.  This .. really wasn't a holiday.  And he wasn't a Rift victim.  He was a rat dumped in a cage for an experiment.  Which was so much worse, despite the fact that the Rift could have tossed him anywhere and anywhen.  But it was random.  This ... this wasn't random.  This was someone planning something and taking him specifically.  Not a good thought to be having.

Ianto stamped his feet a bit, trying to return circulation and tried to just ignore all the unknown worries swarming round in his brain.

Well, it's not like they'd get into a fist fight or anything. Ianto was perfectly capable of working with people he didn't like much. He worked with Owen, after all, and for a while they really didn't like one another.

Ianto shook his head a bit, then rest his forehead against Jack's shoulder. "It's not a competition and I'm not about to go on and be a jealous lover. It'll be fine. That part, at least." Still, Ianto's arms tightened, just a bit more, around Jack's waist.

..and, really, sometimes Ianto wondered if 'the Captain' refered to all of Jack or just one small bit. It was a good thing his head was down, because that thought was making him smirk and it was very inappropriate.

No, Jack wasn't expecting it to come to blows, but he also didn't wantto have any more undue stress than absolutely necessary in the museum. And, considering that he had made himself at home in the museum and was bringing another in without asking? Well, Jack figured his 'best behaviour' was what was called for now.

Jack's hand slid up, threading his fingers through Ianto's hair as he held the other man close. While Jack would have preferred to be here alone as opposed to putting any of his team through this hell -- Jack was glad, at least, that he found Ianto so quickly. "If you played the jealous lover all the time, I don't think there'd be much of 'us' left."

In a sense it was one small bit (and not that bit either) in another sense, well... Jack held much close to his chest. The Captain truly was only a small portion of him. Closing his eyes, Jack let his cheek rest against Ianto's temple, fingers still working through his hair in their methodical way.

In a situation like this, it'd be absolute folly for people to turn one another away from places. They weren't on vacation, they were in a hostile environment. It'd be cruelty to deny someone shelter. Besides, it'd be better, generally, to stick together, wouldn't it? He was too tired to think about that rationally, right now. Especially without coffee.

"I don't play jealous lover ever. Well. Maybe once or twice for all of a minute or two. It's not as much fun, though, as being Ianto Jones." Ianto's eyes closed as Jack's fingers began passing through his hair and his face tipped so he could press lips up against Jack's neck.

"Is it bad?" he asked softly. It had to be, if the quiet need for closeness was any indication. Not that he was complaining. It was the perfect thing after the hellish day he had.
