After leaving the carnival, Logan moved with a purpose. His first stop was the gas station. Sid had, by then, moved on, so no one was there. Logan did a quick peek around, grabbed some cigars ... not his usual, but anything was better than nothing ... a lighter, and some jerky he spotted, then headed right back out.

He eyed the nearest buildings. Couple of 'em were pretty big, and, he was betting, had people sleeping in 'em already. Not a good idea. He'd sleep in the woods if he had to, but he'd rather not. He started walking down the street parallel to the carnival, and spotted something that made him blink.

A building with a TREE sticking out of it? He snorted and headed that way.

There was no roof there, so Jay guessed this Logan guy was right. He paused, unsure if he wanted to go in or not. Hell, why the fuck not? The roof was already caved in, it was unlikely that anything else would fall on them...Right?

Jay walked after Logan. He'd go. "Shit, yeah I'll go. I haven't been in this part of town yet." Not that he thought something exciting was going on in there, and it didn't look like any chicks were in there either. He glanced over at Logan. "Jay."

Logan had to sort of hip-check the door to get it to open, since it seemed to be either locked or rusted closed, he wasn't sure which. It squealed and protested as he pushed it, so he was voting for rusted.

It was ... or had been, a library. One end of the roof was gone, leaving a gaping hole that had a tree sticking through it. There were bookcases in the middle of the room, and a lot of crap scattered around. It smelled of mold, but not too badly ... the hole in the roof was letting the worst of the smell vent.

"Huh. Wonder if there're any useful books in here." Logan wondered.

	The guy was fucking strong, too. Apparently those guns weren't just for show. And why was Jay even thinking about Logan's muscles, anyway? With a shake of his head, Jay walked into the building. "Dunno, kid. Only one way to find out." Logan said. He, however, was looking at the place with a different eye.

Obviously, no one was staying here ... and they weren't likely to want to, with the gaping hole in the roof. If he could rig something up, sleeping here would be ideal.

"Just watch your footing. Doesn't seem to be a basement, if that tree is any indication, but you can still fuck your leg up if a board breaks."

Jay wasn't exactly pleased that he'd been called a kid - especially because he didn't remember the last time that had happened (then again, with the help of a certain green leaf, he didn't remember many a thing these days) - but he didn't call Logan on it.

"Shit, last time I was at a library was in tenth grade and this chick from a year above mine jerked me off next to the Geography section while our teacher was doing something to do with research or some shit right down the aisle." Jay said, grinning at the memory.

"You /what/?" Logan asked, sounding more amused than anything else. In fact, he was grinning, in that one-sided way he had. "Damn, that takes some balls."

He headed deeper into the library, testing the footing as he went and grimacing at each creak, groan, and snap. Fortunately, nothing actually gave way, just made a lot of noise. The further he got from the tree, the quieter things got.

"Hey, the mags are over here, if you wanna try your luck." He called, spotting a few limp magazines in a rack, and more scattered on the floor.

He followed Logan around, and nodded approvingly when Logan mentioned magazines. Finally, something cool to look at. He'd even bring some with him for Silent Bob, too. "Righteoooous!" Jay exclaimed, heading over to where Logan had seen them.

He flipped through them, getting visibly disappointed. They were old mags, with those pinups from the 50s. They were hot, but their racks weren't big enough and they weren't showing flesh all that much. "They're not even naked, what the fuck?!"

	Logan snorted in amusement at Jay's ire. "You do realize there're chicks around this place, right?" He asked. "Why the hell settle for that shit?" "Yeah, but I can't jerk off to them can I? Last time I even tried the chick kicked my ass..." And slapped him with a restraining order, too. He looked at one of the magazines grinning. "This chick is hot. Fuck it, I'll take it."

Stashing a bunch of mags inside his coat, Jay looked up at Logan. "The fuck you mean, when I'm from?" Crazy dude. "I'm from Jersey, recognize, bitch!" He punched his chest.

Jay looked at Logan, confused. "...Seriously?!" Well, he'd met God. Things like this shouldn't be all that weird after all. "Like when from?" He did remember that chick he'd met after waking up here, Kaylee. She didn't talk like she was from this time, hell she didn't even know what Star Wars was.

He glared at Logan upon his Jersey comment. "Fuck you dude, Jersey is badass! All kinds of weird shit happens there and it's the best fucking place in the world!"

Logan HAD to laugh. "You don't know from wierd, kid. I'm betting I can top anything you can claim." Wouldn't even have to try hard, either. Unless, of course, the kid came from some really fucked up place, but Logan doubted it. Kid didn't have the air of someone used to fighting for survival.

That was true, and Jay's nodding meant he agreed with Logan. Weird shit indeed.

"Oh yeah? I met God. It's a chick, doesn't talk, and does back flips. She kissed me, too." There it was, the most exciting time of his life in one sentence. And as for fighting for survival, well, when the universe was in danger and him and Silent Bob had helped fixing it, that counted, right?

"Megalomaniacal asshat who could control metal with his mind that built a machine to mutate world leaders ... then used a teenage girl to try to run the damn thing, despite the fact it'd kill her." Logan said. Though if he knew about the universe saving thing, he might give Jay a bit less grief. "Oh, and there was the three idiots with him. Guy with green skin that could jump like thirty feet from a standing start and had a ten or fifteen foot long tongue, big-ass dude with fur, fangs, and claws, and a chick that could make herself look like anyone she wanted to. That was /fun/." And there was no mistaking his sarcasm.

Was this a fucking competition now? Logan's story was wacky as shit, but Jay's didn't stay that far behind on the wackiness scale.

"Two angels were looking to get back into Heaven by going into this church, and we had to stop them or else the whole universe would be destroyed because they'd negate God's will. I blasted the fucker's wings with a Mac-10 and then God blew their heads off with a scream. Before that there was this shit demon, and a Muse, and a dead dude falling naked from the sky who turned out to be this apostle that was left out of the Bible for being black." He knew shit about people too, embarrassing shit, but Jay didn't mention that.
