She lost track of how many times she 'died' and knew only she could hear lycans on her tail as she tripped over fallen branches, and in the next moment she was stumbling on concrete. Her hands flew out to catch herself and she ended up doing a forward roll, standing in a swift movement as her feet made flat contact with the ground. Selene spun on her heel, ready to face the lycans, body moving instinctively before her mind caught up to the fact she was no longer back in what she conceived as a dreamscape. More importantly...

Her eyes dropped as she extended her arms straight ahead, surveying herself as her tongue swiped quickly across her teeth. The black leather covering her arms and the scrape of fangs against her tongue had Selene letting out a heavy sigh of relief. "Thank god."

And as her heart rate began to slow and drop down to it's usual steady level she took a good look at the adjusted surroundings. Paved roads certainly hadn't been there before, nor the street lamps she could see evenly spaced along the roads. It made her wonder just what else was different, particularly as she noticed the banners hanging everywhere. The sound of her neck cracking as she tilted her head side to side was loud to her ears in the relative silence, the vampire trying to regain a level of comfort. Having a 'dream' about being mortal again had admittedly thrown her. And surely it was understandable considering how many centuries she had been operating as a vampire.

Selene tongued at one of her fangs, and brown eyes looked over the building she stood in front of before shifting to look down one length of the street. As curious as she was to see what else might have been changed, more strong was the instinctual urge to reaffirm her identity. That she hadn't ingested a drop of blood for five days didn't help.

Now, who might happen across her path... and would they provide what she wanted (and needed) willingly?

The vampire was debating going inside the museum to see if anyone else was around, as she was already beginning to figure that whatever had happened to her had likely happened to others. But when her ears caught the sound of an unfamiliar voice she was immediately looking that direction, body instinctively tensing as her eyes narrowed.

It didn't take long for her to realize he was human, which made her relax, and then she was cocking her head to the side as she took in his appearance. Definitely not from the same point in time.

"I think we all did." she remarked, taking a few steps his way. "I don't believe I've seen you around here before. Are you new?" Although, given the zombies and the days of darkness, she really hadn't seen much of anyone lately.

Hah. Ted wasn't from the same point in time, fashion-wise, with people who were from his point in time! He took Surfer Dude/Rocker Dude to a whole new level. But it worked for him, the vest over t-shirt and guy shorts that fell below the knees. So it was good. Mimicking her head tilt, he grinned then and nodded amicably.

"Shah! Well, totally new in that I haven't been here long! I totally arrived when there were a bunch of righteous little dudes running around." Explained to her before he looked around again. "I'm glad the little dudes aren't here anymore. Would have been most unfortunate." While, yes, Ted understood that the kids were actually the adults here, he believed that they were separate entities. Time traveling would make a guy think that, maybe.

"I," He paused, realising that he hadn't introduced himself, "Am Ted "Theodore" Logan." It was still sad, being only one half of the Wyld Stallyns, but Ted busted out a small air guitar in memory of his buddy. Who was still totally alive! Well, Past Bill was anyway.

Righteous little dudes? Oh... perhaps he meant the kids. So he had arrived before the zombies. Selene wasn't really mulling over it long, as she found herself quite baffled by both his behavior and the way he spoke. She was going to guess he was American, given there was no sign of a European accent that was familiar to her, but the way he spoke... Well, she'd never heard anyone speak like that before. It would take some getting used to.

She raised a brow as she watched him, wondering at his movements but not really caring enough to ask about them. "I'm Selene. And yes, I'm glad the children are no longer here as well. This is no place for them." The vampire had pointedly avoided the town that day, sticking to the forest where no kids were likely to wander. Children were perceptive, like dogs. She hadn't wanted to risk being outed by child.

"Shah. Not much a place for anyone." Ted said musingly, looking around again before settling his gaze on Selene once more. She was totally dressed like a strange mix of future and past. Like she belonged in both. Or neither! Shaking his head at the odd thought, he lifted his eyebrows and smiled again.

"Least they were most kind in their welcome back." He sounded happy about that, "And we have roads! We could totally skateboard now!" But then Ted looked a little worried. What were they planning now? Shaking it off, he shrugged up his shoulders. Back to that goofy sort of smile. "So where are you from, my fellow adventurer? When'd you go back to?"

"No, it's not." Even if to her it might not be half bad, if not for the whole being locked some place and having experiments done on them. There was shelter and food, possible companionship if the vampire wanted it. Though the food was if she wanted it too. Hm. Probably a bad way to think about that. Just because she couldn't die of starvation didn't mean she wanted to let herself become too weak.

She again looked at him curiously as he spoke with such enthusiasm. What a strange human. "Paved roads really make little difference, unless they intend to give us cars or..." Selene trailed off thoughtfully. There really wasn't much roads were absolutely vital for, was there? Made her wonder. "Perhaps they just did it to make people more comfortable, since roads are something most are familiar with and having even the smallest of familiar sights can make a person more comfortable and less stressed." Were they trying to make them all somewhat docile so they could perform experiments with little to no complaint? No, that would be boring for them, wouldn't it?

Selene shook her head, running a hand through her hair. This place gave her too much time to think. "Hmm? Oh, um, just back home. The countryside." She wasn't about to put a date on it.
