Entry tags:!complete, day 21, location: museum, npc, remy lebeau, the doctor (ten)

Who: The Tenth Doctor & Remy.
What: Seeking life to feed upon.
Where: Vicinity of the museum and theater.
When: Day 21. 10:45AM.
Rating: PG-13.
Status: Complete.

Familiar red Chucks were shuffling down the road in a manner rather unlike the Doctor. Oh, he still walked with purpose, but that purpose now was to follow the delicious scent of life and feed. This version of the Doctor? He wasn't picky. Any ol' brain would do, even if it wasn't close to the best.

Shoulders slumped, his head lolled to one side and the shadows masked the dried blood and open gashes that marked his face. How close would one have to get to notice the tattered bits of fabric that were once sleeves sticking to limbs that had been slashed repeatedly? To notice the blood and dirt that marred his clothing and what skin that could be seen? A beaten and battered undead body could only stand so straight, after all.

And it was hard for a zombie to pick itself back up after a stumble when tendons were tore in its hands. Those conspicuous holes through his palms with little white bits of bone visible in the light? Those would add a degree of difficulty to grabbing onto chosen snacks, not to mention all the dried blood that coated the skin. It was a good thing zombies were oblivious to pain because those wounds had to have hurt when they were made.

In fact, the Doctor was oblivious to nearly everything, including the darkness that lingered long after the sun should have come up. Light wasn't necessary to sniff out tasty brains, not at all...

Once that bloody, mangled hand grasped to the barrel of his shot gun, Remy stumbled back another few quick steps, before he was looking behind him and turning to run a good ten feet away, before he once again leveled the gun on him. "Docteur!" He shouted one last time, putting his finger there on the trigger. "Back off!"

He was waiting, though, to pull that trigger, his eyes kept lowering to the holes in those bloody hands. It made his stomach twist. "Don' wanna hur' you." That was said more quietly, firmly.

There was a groan as that delicious smell suddenly moved further away. The Doctor's head lolled from one shoulder to the other as he stumbled, briefly, then regained his shuffling pace after Remy. His arms were still outstretched, hands swinging slightly as he moved.

And even though all his fingers didn't seem to want to work the Doctor kept grabbing, making another groaning noise. That wasn't very fair of his snack to keep moving, making him work for it. But then, it wasn't as if a zombie had anything else to do unless something else presented itself as food.

The sickly mutant really didn't have the strength to run anywhere more than a few steps, so he was lowering that gun, finally, and shooting straight into the zombie's thigh. He didn't want to kill it, he just wanted to get the Hell away from it! So once the loud shot had been fired, he was backing away a few steps so the creature wouldn't fall on him.

And only once it was down did he wet his lips and breathe out. "M'sorry." Said quietly to the once-Doctor, before he was backing a bit further away, then turning and walking off, wracking his shot gun. He'd need to find something to contain this zombie in, he didn't want it to get.. you know.. um.. killed.
