Who: Chris Halliwell and anyone at the museum.
What: Waking up to find things back to how they were.
Where: Museum lobby.
When: Day 20 - 8am.
Rating: PG.
Status: Active.

As Chris woke up for what was the third time in as many days in a place that wasn't where he had last closed his eyes he groaned, slowly picking himself up from the floor to a sitting position. His head ached, but he wasn't sure if it was from the floor or whatever he was knocked out with or simply stress. Had he just had a ridiculously strange dream or had the previous day really happened? Because that, Chris was pretty sure, was not what Freud had in mind when he wrote about people regressing to their childhood.

Rubbing a hand over his face, Chris looked around, brows furrowing as he didn't recognize the place he found himself in, or the other people nearby. Although... the blonde woman kinda looked familiar in a weird way. Maybe he'd seen someone like her in his dream. Chris got to his feet, still looking around, and okay he definitely recognized the guy in the coat who had stopped to bitch at him and Connor -- well, mostly Connor -- about messing with time. Connor... shit. His new friend and unofficial charge was nowhere to be seen, and that caused a surge of worry in the whitelighter.

He quietly picked his way over to the counter in the lobby as he pulled out his journal, ready to write and see if Connor responded before he tried to look for the other man. As he sat it down and started flipping through the pages his eyes grew wide as he realized the dream-memories floating around his head didn't come from a dream. But how was that even... no, that was a stupid question. There were all kinds of ways to make such a thing possible. Spells, potions... probably some scientific type methods too, perhaps from one of these other people's worlds. Chris winced as he skimmed his own words. Outing himself as a witch, that was just great. He was brilliant, really. Though it was a small relief to know there was another witch around. Not everyone in this prison was human, that was for sure.

After a quick scribble of words he turned around, debating with himself. So long as Connor was still in this place he could sense for him and orb to his location, but what about these people? Condescending guy in the coat with the nifty sneakers included. Sighing heavily, Chris walked back over to the others, nudging lightly the first one he came to. "Hey, wake up. We're not kids anymore, thank goddess." Alright, so his bedside manner left a little to be desired.

He seemed to take a long time to reply to Illyana's confession. She watched his features, trying to work out his thought process from the subtle movements of his eyes or mouth, but found herself too nervous to really get a read on him. She wasn't sure she wanted to know. Her hands slid to her pockets and she slouched unconsciously, not exactly shrinking away from Chris, but making herself seem less threatening without realizing exactly what she was doing.

At last, he started to speak, and Illyana was more than relieved that he didn't immediately condemn her. When he said he wouldn't try to hurt her, she let out a breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding. "Thanks," she said, not exactly sure of what else would be appropriate. "I do my best with it. I don't want to hurt people." At least not at the moment. No one here had betrayed her or hurt her family. If she got to meet the management again, that might be a different story. She smiled hesitantly at him.

"Can I ask you to keep it a secret, though? The whole 'I'm part-demon' thing? It's not exactly something I'm proud of." Not when she was in her right mind. "And it might freak people here out if they knew. It's bad enough I was a blabbermouth child yesterday." She scowled for a moment and rolled her eyes, remembering again all the secrets she'd inadvertently spilled.

At that Chris chuckled softly but it was warm, as warm as the smile he gave her in return, and he was nodding before he spoke. "Of course. I know a thing or two about keeping secrets, don't worry." So long as she didn't hurt anyone, he would keep it between the two of them. It wasn't his place to tell.

"And don't be too hard on yourself. We all seemed a bit chatty yesterday. I'm not exactly thrilled I broadcast myself as a witch." Though thank goddess that was all his younger self had seemed to spill. Illyana may have just confessed to being part demon, but Chris wasn't about to share that he was part angel, essentially. Those sort of combinations? They didn't seem to go well in any world. And the last thing he wanted was people thinking he could do all kinds of things that he couldn't.
