She liked getting lunch at one of the cafes nearby the campus on certain days though when her classes were closer together and had taken with meeting up with some friends she’d made at the Geliara Academy or ones she’d met while visiting the different covens. It was a nice way to catch up and get some ideas for other places she wanted to try out in the city as well. The locals knew all of the really good, hidden spots that she was just learning about.
The group she was currently with were chatting about the best beaches, which ones would still be doable for another few weeks before Autumn set in and it was too cold to really venture out into the water again. Maybe she could add it to the list of ‘weekend getaway’ trips.
“Incoming,” Arwen murmured, nodding toward the front entrance of the cafe.
The collective of girls all let out a groan, Sabrina rolling her eyes as she spotted Aidan making his way inside with a few other Vorerra guys. They’d been the same ones who’d hung around him at Geliara, always game for whatever scheme he had going at the time.
“Maybe he won’t see us this time.”
It was a little too much to hope for and completely shut down when he scanned the area, wagging his brows when he spotted the group. Aidan left the other two to order food as he strode over to them, plopping down onto the end of the booth next to her.
He tried stretching his arm out over the back of it, but she elbowed him in the side, pleased that it got him scooting back out of the booth. “No need to hurry off on my account,” Aidan told them as they all started getting out of the booth as well. “It’s not my fault we keep running into one another for lunch. We just both have exquisite taste.”
“Desperation really isn’t a good look on you,” Arwen told him as they gathered their things and headed out. “You’d think you were the only girl who ever said no to dating him.”
“Technically I think she was,” Viv pointed out. “Though more have been saying it since then.”
Sabrina shrugged, not really wanting to give Aidan any further thought. “Gelato for lunch?”
It was a resounding yes from the group.
Maybe they could start getting lunch a little further out. It wasn’t like she couldn’t teleport to class afterward.
