WHO: Adora & Catra
WHAT: Taking up a monster hunt contract while Adora's magic is wonky
WHERE: Vallo Forest
WHEN: Backdated to Thursday
WARNINGS: Some violence, monster guts, She-Ra's sword turning into a sex toy by accident that she uses as a weapon (nbd)
STATUS: Complete
This wonky powers thing Vallo was pulling was really driving Adora crazy. Her first few months here, summoning She-Ra had been a problem. She’d already been having trouble connecting with her after destroying the First Ones’ Sword and was fresh off just barely getting a hold on her again on Prime’s ship, and something still wasn’t clicking into place. Looking back, it was probably in part because of this strange situation. She was in a new place with Catra, her only familiarity from home, and she was emotionally all over the place. She was worried about Glimmer and Bow and Etheria, stressing that Catra didn’t remember them coming for her, and just a general mess. While that wasn’t necessarily unusual, it was a lot on top of their surprise relocation. Having She-Ra falter again when Adora could feel her within her reach was beyond frustrating — it was upsetting. She-Ra was supposed to be fixed; she had been for months now. Accessing her had felt simpler than ever because all she had to do was think of Catra, holding onto her and telling her that she loved her (a memory that was always lingering in her mind), and she was ready. The eight-foot-tall, sword-wielding goddess practically jumped right out of her. Now Vallo had to go and mess with that, too. It was disappointing and, most ridiculously, made her feel guilty. Catra was basically The Reason she’d gotten She-Ra back and now she was gone again. It felt like she was letting her down, even though she knew it was just another one of Vallo’s weird cosmic tricks. She was hardly the only one having a hard time lately. But she had no time to dwell in her feelings at the moment. She-Ra or no She-Ra, she and Catra had a job to do, and she needed to put her focus there. She had managed to focus her energy into molding the Sword into a bracer around her upper arm, like she used to with the original, in the hopes that having it a little more accessible would be helpful if this turned nasty quickly. People had disappeared in the forest a lot lately. At first, it had been a few which, while not a good thing, was not totally unusual. In the past few days, the rate had only risen, well into at least a dozen on the daily. No one knew what was taking them, and there hadn’t been any bodies found, but there had been an increase in monster-hunting contracts. Whether these monsters were real or imagined by paranoid locals was a toss-up, but there was no point in turning down a day’s pay for checking things out. So far, their walk had been peaceful. Their hands were clasped, fingers intertwined, and it could easily be any other day they were on patrol. But something did feel off, even to Adora. “Do you hear anything weird?” she asked Catra lowly. She was the one who would pick up on anything suspicious from this distance — benefits of catlike senses. Catra stressed less than Adora. That was, like - a given. Vallo was being wonky, whoo. What else was new? Though she wasn’t brushing off her insecurities about it either, and she knew how much of her girlfriend’s self-worth rested on the broad, glowing shoulders of a walking goddess-weapon. Eventually things would right itself, and the scales would be balanced again in regards to Vallo’s magic being a fucking pain but until then, she had no issues pacifying those insecurities. Or, trying to anyway. They were both stubborn in their own ways though Catra would argue she wasn’t as stubborn. But resuming life as usual was important and Adora could use the reminder that she wasn’t incapable of things just because she couldn’t tap into that magic. Her punches definitely hit like a freight train last she recalled, for one. Now they had taken an independent contract that was literally all about patrolling parameters, as some local farmers had been antsy about being snatched up by whatever presence was here doing the snatching. A few rumors of monster sightings had been floating, the reigning one being about some giant arachnid monster catching people in their webs to devour them which seemed - kind of possible? Didn’t explain the dread people were feeling, and these creatures weren’t that uncommon depending where you were. The forest seemed to always be expanding, twisting and shifting - and there were plenty of nasties that made it their home. “There’s an animal straining to take a shit several yards away,” she deadpanned, ears twitching and nose twisting. There was something in the distance too she was picking up on, an echo of some kind. “I think there’s a cave ahead? An occupied one. Probably should start approaching slowly to check it out, which means -” Sorry, Adora. Holding hands would have to wait. Catra’s claws came out to play. Catra’s claws coming out to play meant business, and Adora knew to follow suit. She slowed her steps, trying to walk as delicately and silently behind her girlfriend. It was not an easy task for her. Now that it was warm, Catra was back to going mainly shoeless unless shoes were required whereas Adora was still in a pair of boots. She wasn’t a clomper by any means, but trying to tiptoe through the crunchy forest was a challenge. Even moving slowly, it didn’t take long for the cave Catra had mentioned to come into view. Immediately, it gave Adora the creepy crawlies and she reflexively reached for the Sword around her wrist. She wasn’t planning to use it yet, but she needed the assurance it was there. Hopefully it would work if they needed to use it. Taking a step forward, her eyes focused on the mouth of the cave, Adora missed a sizable twig on the ground and it broke with an audible crack! when she stepped on it. A small flock of birds instantly reacted, crying out and scattering around them. She cringed, hard, and shot Catra a sheepish smile. She-Ra may be smooth and powerful, but Adora herself was brimming with clumsy moments. In contrast, Catra had more grace; it seemed like an additional sense for her feet to avoid anything that could make a noise under the pressure of her weight. Stealth was something she excelled at. Adora, on the other hand - Well. At least she was cute. Their eyes met, one of her eyebrows skyrocketed into her bangs but she was also trying her damn hardest smother a snicker and snort. Seriously - they were doing important stuff right now, totally inappropriate for Catra to be thinking how much she was really into Adora being a stupid klutz. Anyway, back to the matter at hand. That cave. It wasn’t the first one they’ve investigated. They often served as dwellings for monsters, several kinds of them. Hard to determine what lived in this one but she heard it, the sound of something skittering in the depths of it. Could be bats. Could be something with several legs scrambling around. Could be a lot of things. “Actually,” Catra whispered with a frown, swiping Adora’s hands into hers again. “It’s pitch-fucking-black in there for you, isn’t it?” That was what she was assuming. For her it wasn’t. She could see the grooves in the ground, the rocks that they could stumble over if they weren’t careful. “Unless you can conjure your sword into a flashlight, hold onto me and let me lead until your eyes adjust?” Oh yeah. Adora blinked. “Not pitch black but probably not far off,” she admitted. She hadn’t thought of that herself, but her weak human eyes wouldn’t work in that cave. If anything, they’d be more of a hindrance, at least for the first few minutes of Catra dragging her along and keeping track of her. A flashlight really would come in handy right now, but she didn’t know if she could trust the Sword to work. It had been a struggle to get it to mold to her arm and had taken her about six tries before it relented. She had to try, though. It wasn’t in her nature to turn back now, and she definitely wasn’t letting Catra go it alone. She could, if need be, Adora knew that. But they were in this together, and she hadn’t come this far just to stand guard outside. “I’ll try the flashlight.” She smiled and gave Catra’s hands a squeeze before pulling them free. She clasped her hand over the bracer on her arm, took a breath, and focused. Flashlight flashlight flashlight. That shouldn’t be so hard, right? She felt the Sword begin to mold into her hand and a couple of glowing moments later she had a lantern. Great. She sighed and grabbed the handle, holding it up for Catra to examine. “I guess this’ll work.” This time Catra did snort a chuckle out, louder than the hushed words exchanged and she quickly covered her mouth afterwards - oops. Didn’t mean to be that loud. “Sorry,” she apologized and stood on her clawed tiptoes to kiss Adora’s cheek. “You’re cute when your powers aren’t working right.” No, it technically wasn’t the most appropriate time to be flirting but that never stopped her before - she had flirted when they fought, she’d flirt with her in the depths of a dark cave with a potential monster living in it whenever. “Now c’mon -” Then came the tug, and Catra began leading the way. “Try not to stare at my ass much though, ‘kay?” (That translated to: yes, stare at my ass as much as you want.) They could hear faint echoes of dripping water every now again. Condensation, really. It was humid in here, moss covering a good bit of the rocks. Her ears twitched and she tried to focus more on that scampering she’d heard earlier but it had paused. Whatever was in there stopped moving. Probably because it knew there were intruders on its territory, and it was either hiding - or waiting. “Hold up,” she hissed, the walking coming to a halt so she could point over at the wall ahead. Catra could see webs, big spider webs, and a bunch of varied corpses wrapped in the silk of it all. The sizes differed as did the shapes. “I don’t think they’re people? Animals, probably. We can check to make sure but we’ve gotta be careful because we’re literally fucking around with this thing’s food.” Definitely the arachnid kind of monster, and definitely a big one. Adora pouted but didn’t comment, knowing Catra was only teasing her. It was objectively kind of funny when it manifested like this, but dealing with it was annoying. She may be pretty powerful all on her own, but she had gotten used to having She-Ra, at least for backup. Having her flickering in and out again set her on edge. But it was fine. She would deal. She and Catra could handle themselves — as long as she didn’t get too caught up staring at Catra’s ass. The temptation was strong, but after a good long look to savor, she turned her attention away and let herself be tugged into the cave. Carefully, she followed after Catra, trying her hardest to concentrate on walking quietly. She didn’t want to step on something else crunchy. Maybe it would scare the beast they were after, but what if it stirred it into attacking? She remembered those rumors about a giant spider-like beast, and that was the kind of creature she wanted to have the advantage over. With She-Ra on the fritz, they needed the element of surprise even more. Then there were webs. That was confirmation that the spider-thing was real and they were getting closer to it. They had invaded its lair, and she didn’t want to end up the next thing wrapped up and stuck to a cave wall. The shapes and sizes didn’t lead her to believe any of them were humanoid, like Catra had said. That was slightly reassuring. “Well, if there’s no bodies, maybe we should just leave it alone,” she whispered back. “We can just seal up the cave or something.” She knew that wasn’t going to happen. They had come this far, and there was no saying this thing wasn’t a threat to humans — or wouldn’t become one, at least. But she was not a fan of spiders (and she wasn’t proud to admit that), and without She-Ra, her nerves were really getting the best of her. “How do you propose we seal up a cave?” Catra shot back, offering her a brief glance over her shoulder before she plucked at some of the webbing. It was wound tight over their prey - dead, obviously - and she was able to rip some up to see what it held. A goat, the poor bastard. At best this monster-spider was picking off cattle from the locals. It wasn’t responsible for any disappearances of actual people, and this was just a run-of-the-mill kind of contract. Kill the predator that made livestock into prey. “I mean, if you really wanna try to pull the big guns out when it comes to muscle maybe -” Wait. Catra heard something. Like something sharp, rubbing together. Her ears twitched. Fur - officially bristled. She backed away from the wall, pressing her back into Adora as she surveyed the immediate surroundings. The sound was clear and near, but there was nothing to their left or right except for the cavern walls. Nothing in front of them, nothing behind them. Which meant. “Look up,” she groaned with dread. Up high above them were eight eyes, red ones. Huge ones, watching them while they stayed glued to the ceiling of the cave very, very still. There was no thought, never mind practicality, behind the ‘seal it off’ suggestion. It was just a quick out since She-Ra was on the fritz and they didn’t have much of a plan. Unfortunately, with these sorts of jobs, there was rarely room for a plan because the details were usually fuzzy. She had learned to become more impulsive and make decisions on the fly while she was with the Rebellion because she had to, and she’d learned to just go with it. That didn’t mean she liked doing it; her brain was always screaming at her not to go in unprepared. And this was exactly the reason why. Catra pressing back into her, her ears perked up in that way that meant she heard something Adora couldn’t, made the hairs on the back of her neck stand up straight. The hand not wrapped around her lantern gripped Catra’s shirt, and a lump formed in her throat when she told her to look up. Dread pooled in the pit of her stomach, and slowly, she did as she was told. The eight bright red eyes staring back at her filled her with instant regret. The lantern in her hand, seeming to sense her distress glitched out and shimmered unsteadily back into the form of a brick. A shiny gold-and-platinum brick, sure, but a brick. Screw it — better than nothing. She pulled her arm back and hurled it at the spider’s head with all her might. Smart choice, right? This was fine. Okay, no. It wasn’t actually fine. They had been stuck in worse scenarios than this, though, and it had her bitterly nostalgic over that crystal castle of memory horrors and defense protocol spiderbots that attacked them because they viewed Catra as an intruder (which she was). This time the spider wasn’t made of First One’s tech, harbored potential venom and - Adora threw a brick at it. A magical, glowing brick. It was stupid and she found it weirdly attractive. The brick hit it, her aim was flawless - as usual - but it clearly disturbed the creature. It squirmed and opened its maw up for a shriek and what followed was a spit of webbing coming right at them. Catra’s response was to shove into Adora more, pushing her back so they could both safely avoid being hit and trapped. “I think you made it mad,” she winced and - yep, it let out another shriek that made her ears flatten against her skull. “Eyes adjust to the darkness yet? Because I think things are about to -” Get ugly is what she would have finished with, if it hadn’t for the startingly loud and heavy thud of the monster landing on the ground. Its weight made the cave quiver, a few pebbles breaking off from above to rain on them. In retrospect, throwing the brick might not have been Adora’s finest idea. Prior to that, the spider was on the ceiling and presumably staying there. Now it was pissed and had no more qualms about coming right for them. They had attacked, so it was going to attack back. That feeling of regret dug into her deeper, but there was nothing she could do about that now. This fight was going to happen — she had just moved the timeline up. Very, very rapidly. The shrieks it was letting loose made Adora wish her ears worked like Catra’s. Instead, she just had to deal with being slowly deafened. “I can see,” she replied quickly, scanning the floor around them for her Sword. She could see it, just past the spider, the gold standing out in the darkness of the cave. The problem would be getting to it, and when she did, making it work properly. “Okay, we have to just - we can’t stand here forever.” So far, the thing was just screaming at them and hadn’t attempted any more web shots. But they couldn’t allow themselves to be targets either. “Can you take it from the front and I’ll try to get around back and knock some of its legs out?” Catra spotted it too. Right now she didn’t exactly trust how the sword worked, and it might be more useless than useful to Adora at the moment but - she couldn’t blame her for trying, either. Her grip on her girlfriend tightened. “Screw the legs,” she smirked, a wickedness to it that matched the gleam in her eyes. They were iridescent in this darkness, shining with every twist and turn of her head. “I’m going for the eyes, babe. All eight of them.” That was when she decided to plant a kiss on Adora’s lips - a fat one, teeth taking a bite out of her bottom lip to tease. It was brief because, hi, they were facing a monster but she was determined to carve out a few more moments of obnoxious flirting. “Try to bail me out with that sword if you get it working, yeah?” Barely a split second later Catra moved, leaping high into the air. The arachnid let out another shriek and spat out another glob of webbing in attempts to trap her but it missed (barely), and she landed successfully on it with claws already sinking into one eye. Before Adora even got a chance to protest Catra’s plan to leap directly into the spider’s face, she was stunned still and silent by that kiss. She wrapped her hands in the sides of her shirt and chased after her lips when she pulled away, blinking at her dumbly for a long moment. Now was not the time to let her mind get clouded, but Catra had that effect on her. And she needed to shake it off. As soon as Catra jumped away, Adora’s focus shifted. First get the Sword-brick, try to get it back to the actual Sword form, then take this giant thing out. Preferably before it wrapped Catra up in webs or poisoned her or who only knew what else. They had really gone into this blind, and now they needed to get out of here without anyone getting hurt. This was what she was good at. With the spider preoccupied, Adora managed to dodge its flailing legs to get her hands on the brick. She wrapped it in both hands, dropping to the ground just as she was nearly nailed in the face by a leg when the spider turned. Its constant shrieks of pain echoed off the cave walls, and it was clearly trying to shake Catra off, which was no easy feat with those claws. But despite all that, her eyes instead zeroed in on Catra’s ass, and — gods, this was so not the time. “Okay, concentrate,” she told herself. She closed her eyes and pressed her thumbs into the brick, forcing an image of She-Ra into her mind’s eye. She felt warmth surrounding her, the golden glow lighting up the cave as she transformed. When the warmth ebbed, she was She-Ra, but the Sword, while no longer a brick, was something else. ”Seriously?” she huffed. Catra’s plan had been simple - blind the thing. It’d have a terrible time if she maimed all of its eyes, but putting it into practice brought some difficulty. The sheer size, for one, was hilarious compared to how small she was in general. It thrashed, tried its best to buck her off while her claws had sunk into it and she had to hook them in securely to make sure she wasn’t flung off into a goddamn rock wall. But she’d handle it with moxy considering she was regularly fueled by the need to spite everything in her life ever. One eye was out, and she sunk her claws into a second with a sickening squelch. The pain gave the spider a brief pause and allowed her a moment to crouch onto it in a way that allowed her foot to flatout stomp another glaringly red eyeball. “Hey, what’s taking you so long to -” Catra huffed out a grunt, then lifted her eyes and looked to Adora and oh. Oh. “Is that -” It was. “Did you -” She did. “Adora -” What the fuck. “That’s a glowing dick.” The distraction was all the spider needed to buck again and Catra’s state of surprise did nothing but loosen the grip of her claws. With a raspy screech she was flung off, slamming into the ground in what looked like a painful landing except she, uh - wasn’t acting hurt? Nope. Catra was cackling maniacally on the fucking floor because Adora had a glowing dick. Adora’s face felt hot, and she had to be absolutely tomato red. That was a dick, alright. It had at least gotten the size of the sword, but it was definitely dick-shaped. So, great. She had a giant, glowing, useless Sword-dick because she couldn’t get the image of her girlfriend’s ass out of her head. It was a vicious call-out, and she had never felt more embarrassed in her life. “It’s not funny! Are you okay?!” she called out. She could hear Catra cackling, but she had hit the floor pretty hard and she couldn’t get over there now to check on her. The now seven-eyed spider had decided to encroach on her, probably in part thanks to all the glowing. She tried again to will the Sword back into its proper form, but it wasn’t cooperating and she had to take action. So she grabbed the hilt like a baseball bat and started beating the spider back with a giant, glowing dick. Yeah. This was not what she’d been expecting. No, it wasn’t funny. It was fucking hilarious is what it was, and Catra knew she had to get her shit together and off the ground to participate in this monstrous spider takedown but give her a minute. Adora whacking it with a sword-dick was also, like, not helping the laughter die down either because what a goddamn sight to behold. HAH. This was the greatest fucking day. “I’m fine!” she called out, and wiped those hysterical tears that pooled in the corner of her eyes with the back of her hands. Those claws were covered in eyeball gunk, you see - and look, she was getting back on her feet to be functional again (though with the biggest shit-eating grin on her face). Her back stung but it’d be fine, it wasn’t like she whacked the back of her head and was disoriented. Catra was ready for another go and went to launch herself back into it. Obviously the spider wasn’t enthused with being whacked with a glowing sword penis (would anyone?), and whipped around to clumsily slap one of its many large and dangerous legs into her while three of its eyes were down for the count. Adora was so frustrated, it was bordering on furious. She hated the lack of control and looking like an idiot on top of that, when they could be putting their lives at stake, did not help. They literally didn’t have time for this, but yet, here they were. She was literally whacking a furious spider with a dick while her girlfriend gouged its eyes out. Ah, romance. With a huff of exasperation, Adora closed her eyes again, wrapped her hands tightly around the hilt of the Sword and forced her mind to clear. She took a deep breath, and a forceful “For the Honor of Grayskull!” followed. She could feel the Sword shifting in her grip, and when she opened her eyes again, there it was. Her Sword in all its glory, finally. Lifting her foot, she pushed the spider back, not rough enough to cause Catra to fall again but to give her room to get around it. Once she was at its back, she pulled back her Sword and plunged forward, praying she hit home. There it was - an actual blade. Good for her. Catra was still having a grand ol’ time on this spider, claws tearing into it with all these fleshy squishy sounds and Adora taking a literal stab into its core only added to that. It was effective though, and there was garbled shriek and flailing legs as it recklessly tried scampering back, only for it to loudly collapse on the ground with twitching limbs. It was alive - sort of. Life was draining out of it, and her hands were a mess, and she was waiting for it to stop doing it’s shuddery-convulsing thing before her claws retracted. “So,” Catra exhaled, meeting Adora’s eyes with an impish smirk. She stood on the spider's body with her hands on her waist and hips cocking oh so devilishly. “When, exactly, are we going to discuss you getting a magical boner? I’m available whenever.” Adora didn’t want to smile at Catra’s teasing, but it was there, small and reluctant. Again, objectively, yes, it was funny. And now that the spider was at death’s door and they weren’t in immediate danger, the adrenaline was fading and her frustration was ebbing. The embarrassment was still strong, though, easily evidenced by how red her face was. She lifted her free hand to scrub at it, bowing her head. “It’s your fault for being so hot all the time,” she argued heatlessly. Her eyes flickered to the spider to monitor it before landing on Catra again. Even like this, standing on a dead spider with her claws dug into it, she was hot. That thing she was very intentionally doing with hips was not helping. “But talk to me once you’ve finished cleaning those claws. Spider guts aren’t a turn-on.” “Didn’t know you had to be turned on for that conversation,” Catra retorted, a single eyebrow quirking in intrigue. But, right. Her claws. Not like she had a lot of options and she did her best to fling off any excess eyeball guts, and then had to resort to wiping any slimy residue off onto her leggings. These were patrol leggings anyway, it was expected for them to get dirty. Then she hopped off the corpse and landed daintily on her bare feet, and then lunged to tackle-hug Adora. The force wouldn’t have been enough for them to fall on the ground (not with those goddess-muscles) but maybe jostle her some, and her arms went around her waist and there was that shit-eating grin again. Now she was laughing. “Today takes the title of ‘best day’ from the time you turned into a grumpy doll because someone tried recruiting me for porn a second time. Seriously. What the hell, Adora?” “I don’t have to be turned on for the conversation,” Adora protested. That wasn’t what she’d meant at all, but she was embarrassed and she was scrambling a little to recover. “Just for the, uh - the doing.” There was definitely some jostling when Catra jumped at her and her sword clattered to the floor of the cave, but thankfully, She-Ra’s extra height and muscle did her some good and kept them upright. She reached down and tugged Catra properly up into her arms, one hand on her ass to coax her legs around her waist. It was also the perfect opportunity to cop a feel; she would deny that was ever her intention, but her red face would give her away. “Why do all your ‘best days’ involve me looking like an idiot?” she grumbled, leaning their foreheads together. First the doll, now this. At least her magic had still been working properly as the doll and she’d managed to turn into a She-Ra doll. That did make it kind of cool. And kissing making her go back to normal had been pretty epic. With her legs hugging She-Ra’s waist, the larger set of hands on her ass? That had Catra purring up a storm. There was nothing sexy about their environment (in a cave, with a giant dead spider and other animal corpses wrapped up in silk webbing) but there were a lot of sexy things going on with her girlfriend and she was into that. “You being an idiot is my favorite,” she countered, the laughter dying down into this low, husky chuckle that effectively ceased when she closed that gap between them for a kiss. By now her arms had moved to cling around her neck and Adora wasn’t going to be putting her down anytime soon, she’d protest vehemently at that. “Wish I could have just recorded that entire thing, though - I didn’t know you could turn your sword into that. What a way to honor the First Ones.” “Shut uuuuup,” Adora whined, bottom lip jutting out in a pout. “You’re being mean.” That fact didn’t stop her from stealing more kisses, though, one hand raising to press against the middle of Catra’s back. This was probably the least sexy environment they could possibly be in, but she was getting caught up — while still keeping an eye on the spider corpse. It had finished twitching, but she wasn’t sure if she totally trusted it was dead. Well, there was one way to find out for sure. She stepped up, still holding onto Catra, and poked it with her foot. Once. Twice. Three times. After that many attempts with no response, she was satisfied. “Should we drag this thing out of here and burn it?” she questioned. “To be extra safe?” Vallo was a weird place. A giant resurrecting spider was, unfortunately, a real possibility. It’d be a moot point to mention that Catra was always mean and that Adora did like it but the kisses that came afterwards were proof. She would take her time with those, chase her mouth and slip her hands over cheeks to cradle her face. Her girlfriend was the dorkiest, god. She was smitten. “We’re gonna need its head to collect our reward,” Catra mumbled, moving to nuzzle her face because scenting. Try coming back from the dead without a head, fuckers. “You can flex those biceps and decapitate if you can actually keep your sword the way it’s supposed to be.” Oh yeah. She was never going to let this go. Adora huffed but looked past Catra to see that the Sword was, in fact, laying on the ground and still in sword form. She just had to hope it stayed that way when she went in for the decapitating blow. If she could just keep her mind from wandering, she didn’t think it would shift again. Right now, with Catra attached to her, wasn’t the most opportune moment since Catra was literally attached to her. “You’re gonna have to get down if you want me to do that,” she pointed out. Not that she was in any hurry because she was still stealing kisses and gazing into those mismatched eyes like they weren’t surrounded by corpses. “The sooner we turn it in, the sooner I can kiss you in our bed. And wash your hands.” “You mean the mighty She-Ra can’t carry her hot girlfriend and cut off a monster’s head at the same time?” Catra gasped dramatically, splaying a hand over her chest to express just how aghast she was about the concept. But also - not really. She supposed it’d be better if she unmounted Adora so she could properly do this. Another kiss, and then she unwrapped herself from Adora’s hold and planted her feet to the ground. This way she could reach over and give her ass a spank, because she was fucking shameless. “Go on, take a swing. And maybe afterwards you’ll get the chance to finally impale me with that sword for once.” Catra laughed, at herself. She was so funny. Hahahaha. “You’re pure evil,” Adora told her with a playful glare. Obviously a lie; even when they were on opposite sides of the war and fighting each other on the regular, she had never believed Catra was actually evil. But this tempting behavior of hers was not helping her situation. She was officially hoping cashing in on their bounty would be a quick transaction. Once she’d been properly dismounted, she reached down to pick up the Sword and it immediately started glitching in her hands. She gritted her teeth, forcing her mind to clear and fill with the image of the Sword. Only the Sword. As soon as it solidified in her grasp, she approached the spider and made quick work of beheading it. The noise that followed was unpleasant, and the stench was putrid, but there was no mistake that it was dead now. “We should have brought a bag,” she said, staring down at the head with a hand over her nose. She didn’t want to touch that, especially still oozing blood and who knew what other kinds of fluid. Catra didn’t take the claim personally. She was definitely the scheming sort and while the stench of dead monster head wasn’t anything romance-worthy, it still didn’t stop her from ogling the way she beheaded the thing. Lady muscles were hot. Her girlfriend had two sets of them. How could she not appreciate the view? Don’t mind her, she was just standing there with one arm crossed over and a finger to her chin. The purrs never really stopped - they were just quieter, but at the moment very much undying. Literally, mreow. “Just drag it to a waypoint,” Catra suggested with a shoulder shrugging. Maybe her eyes were raking up She-Ra’s form. Maybe they were bedroom eyes. “You’re in She-Ra mode, you can do it. I’m here for emotional support.” And to watch her arms work. Probably. |
