Journal Filter to Sara Lance
Evie Frye to Sara Lance My dearest Sara— I know my departure is a far cry from what we both expected. When I had first mentioned I would write a letter such as this, I never anticipated it would be under these circumstances. But we do what we must, and I can admit my fondness still of putting pen to paper. Things have certainly been interesting since our arrival. The locals are far more distrustful, of course - I don’t know that I blame them in this case. But I have made a few friends, some children on the streets that are always happy to exchange information for a little coin, food, and safety. That part reminds me of home. Jacob, Diego and I are doing our best to acclimate, especially now that we're all together and Diego's managed to find assassination attempts. (It wasn't us.) As one might expect from us, our last few nights have been spent in a local tavern. It’s a good place for information gathering over a few ales and a good card game. The underground fight club we were invited to was practically a natural next step. So now I nurse a few bruises and a headache, but we have coin in our pockets (admittedly some of them were pilfered from a few shady-looking gentlemen) and a roof over our head for the evening. My thoughts drift to you, hoping things remain calm, and that this soon will pass. In the meantime, I think of you often, being this far away. How is the present time finding you? Yours, Evie |
