I am not about to ask you about swords.

Don't put that in the form of a bloody question. You're the one who posted about bloody sabbaticals and bloody whatnot in the bloody network, so what the bloody hell else is anyone who bloody well doesn't know you at all supposed to bloody say?

And that is why my teachers hated me when I wrote answers on tests.

Right. Well. That's that, then.

Have a splendid time in Orange County. Gradually going insane every time you go to sleep.

Well it's good to be back. I can get back into the league!

League? What are you on about?

Oh! You know, the Buzzsaw League. It's these little robos that smash and cut and grind each other to bits. It's quite a bit of fun and I have my own robot I can enter again. I mean, it's not Cricket, but still, I rather do love it.

The best part is when you get two of the robots and they're just smashing and slicing and neither is going down and it goes on and on and it's the person controlling it that determines the winner through tactics and strategy!

Nice to see that you still flail about, over things.

Hold on. Typing with one hand is rather difficult, as the other one is currently glued onto half of my face.

It's really rather fun. My robot spits fire and has a big sword!

Is it magical, this sword of yours?

What? Are you daft? Of course it's not magical.

Then it's rubbish. And shite. And it doesn't count.

It's a very good sword! It smashes and cuts!

Perhaps someday, you'll find out that it's really actually a rubbish sword, and maybe you had a better sword that could do more than...no no no.

Wait. Right. There.

Swords don't smash, they slice and cut. If you were going to smash anything, it would be with a mace or a hammer. At least get your combat verbs correct, for pity's sake.

It's not a very sharp sword.

Right. See there? It really is rubbish.

I'm severely disappointed.

It's not a real sword. It was fashioned out of steel by a brilliant engineer.

That's fan-bloody-tastic that it's an engineered sword.

So. You mean to say you don't have an actual sword-sword. Only an engineered smashing sword that smashes things. Correct?

I mean. If you were an action figure, wouldn't you fancy being the action figure that had a great big bloody huge magical slicey sword? Have you ever sat about in the morning, thinking about that, at all, and imagining how brilliant that would be? Because it would be. Brilliant.

Stop staring at the screen like I'm nutters, like I imagine you are.

I'd be the action figure with the medical bag and a life sized surgical table, I think. I'm too boring for an action figure.

Boring? Ah. Ha ha. Ahhh. Of course you are.

If you ever should get anything in mind such as swordy things and action figures, then you know where to find me on the network and we'll have a bit of a discussion.

About how not boring those things are. And you can get excited over it. In a non-sexy way. After all, I'm happily married and...you get excited over things that are decidedly non-sexy.

I don't know why I would talk to a stranger about action figures, doesn't that strike you as a little juvenile?

No, all things considering...

Not particularly. Perhaps you should think on that, too.

In fact, if I were to give you an assignment, it would be to sit about on your bum and ponder things, intently. Go do that. At your earliest convenience.

No, nevermind that. I'm timing you.

Starting........now.
