Now that things have settled down around the house some with the holidays done I can announce that we’ve added another animal to our growing herd. Regulus’ mare foaled a beautiful pony that I’ve decided we’re going to keep. She represents the best of both of her parents. And has done wonders for calming down Shadowdancer just by being born. He’s a rather doting father on his little one. And the girls can now stroke his nose and feed him apples without Regulus or I having to watch him out of the corner of our eyes to make sure he doesn’t get spooked. We still have to be nearby but progress is still progress.

You're the second person to post about horses recently.

The young lady looking for somewhere to board her horse from the Dreams? I was going to offer her information but one of my clients, who's apparently a friend of hers, beat me to the offer.

I'm not sure whether it's good or bad that our now 5 horses were all found here and didn't show up from our Dreams.

Yes, she's the one I spoke to a few days ago about horses.

There are no horses in my dreams. I mean, I'm sure they exist somewhere, but we're in the middle of a vampire apocalypse, so there aren't any in the cities.

The horses I'm familiar with in the Dreams are magical. And I'm ashamed to say my family wasn't as invested in animals there.

How are they magical?

Pegasi are probably the easiest example. Centaurs are also real but they aren't an example of magical horses but a magical creature.

Nothing like that exists in my dreams.

Well centaurs have a reputation of being very proud and standoffish in mine.

We just have vampires.

We have those as well. I happily stayed away from them though.

That's basically the number one goal for living in my dream world.

Probably a good goal to have.

I mean, what's the alternative?

Unacceptable.

Do you think now that he's got a little one, he realizes the girls are our little ones and not just tiny loud humans?

I think he's starting too at least.

Even if they are tiny loud humans at times.

I won't argue with that. Even if they arent as tiny as they used to be. Still loud when they get to go see their horses.

Can we blame them for it?

Not... really no. They don't get to see them most of the week, and they miss them.

That was my thoughts. I grew up getting to see my horse until I went away to school - it was still the best part of my day when I went to the stables with mum.

I grew up... without any animals. This menagerie is more than I ever thought I'd have. And I still get it. I miss my girl during the week, and I've definitely missed riding her while she's been pregnant.

This? Is why your parents aren't allowed near our girls ever. What they deprived you of.

Well once the vet says she's clear...what do you say to getting Lily to watch the girls while we take the horses out for a ride?

There are a lot of reasons they aren't. That's a more minor one among the rest of the lot.

I really, really would love that.
