So I've read on the network how people end up with things. Sometimes it's things that will serve them just fine, other times not so much. I had two things show up and one of them? Fine, okay. A book published in 1605. Not sure how I got my hands on that, there's no telling.

Second is a pretty big sized battle axe. What exactly am I meant to do with a battle axe?

I'd love to look at that book!

But to answer the second question, the same reason my dreams gave me a small arsenal and magic artifacts, I presume.

To actually use it when the county is attacked or invaded from peoples' dreams.

I want to know where it came from, but it looks like it's in pristine condition.

I don't know how to use a battle axe, but I guess I could learn.

Sometimes the dreams teach you, but your muscles don't always have that memory. I couldn't shoot for shit now I'm an expert marksman.

Did the dreams actually teach you or did you learn here?

A little of both. I had to train my muscles but I discovered I had a knack for it. Some of my other skills I already had, though.

That sounds interesting. I'll have to look into that. It seems like a good thing to check out, at the very least.

Just be careful. First time I tried to fire one of the guns I got from my dreams I wrenched my shoulder.

Oh, don't worry. I plan to be as careful as possible. Last thing I need is to pop my shoulder out of the socket or something.

It's not a fun experience, I can attest.

It doesn't sound like it, that's for sure.

Books don't impress me much, but that battle axe sounds wicked awesome.

I don't know if I'd consider it wicked awesome, as you put it.

Isn't that what the kids say these days when something is cool?

Honestly? I wouldn't know what the kids these days say. It's very possible, though.

I have a teenaged son.

...And I'm not sure I've ever heard him say that, exactly. But. It sounded hip? I don't know.

You have a teenage son and have never heard that? I don't have any kids, but growing up I'm not even sure I've ever heard that.

Maybe it is hip.

Maybe. I don't know. I wouldn't consider myself hip at all. More like 80s chic.

80s chic hasn't been around for a long time.

It's a first edition of Don Quixote. The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha.

No, they didn't tell me. The book just showed up, with the axe.

A book and an axe. That seems a bit random.

The battle axe looks badass. This thing is half as tall as I am, maybe. I'm not sure what I'm meant to do with it.

Hang it on the wall?

My dream self uses it. I'm not sure if I should try and learn how to, though. Something like that would definitely take a lot of upper body strength.

[info]stillworthit

It would be. Even if I have no clue why anyone would use an axe in the OC. That'd be one way to run off bad guys, I guess.
