Yesterday was wild, huh? Do things like that happen often?

More often than some of us would like.

Are you okay?

Really? That must be expensive for whoever the city planners are or whatever. Those things looked real!

I'm fine. There was a walker taken down not too far from where I'm staying which took out the power briefly, but it came back up again before too long.

You?

I think it lures in tourists or something. Maybe they have a competition to see who can have the biggest event.

That's good. That it was only out for a minute or two, not that your power went out at all.

Yeah, I was mostly away from everything that happened.

I'm super impressed with their events committee. I've never seen anything like that, not even in New York.

Yeah, thankfully I don't need to do much that needs electricity.

I'm glad. I wonder what they've got planning in the future...

It's impressive, always going the extra mile around here.

That's lucky. I think around here most people have a back up generator just in case.

It's bound to be something interesting. Although I'm not sure what the next big event is.

Do crazy things like this happen regularly enough that people need their own generators? That seems reckless.

Do they go all out for other events? Like Labor Day or Independence Day? Man if aliens appear...

Sometimes, I guess. Um, other times it's weird weather or some freak accident.

I dunno if they'll do something for Labor Day but it's very possible that something will happen for July 4th. Maybe not aliens but... Oh God please not aliens.

Weird. I never really heard much about this when I was living just outside of OC.

I'm really hoping it's not aliens.

It's pretty centralised. Not a lot of places report it, so it's more a local thing.

Yeah, I'd take fire works and maybe something fun. But no aliens.

They must really want the tourist... attention? Vote? I don't even know what I'm trying to say anymore.

I love fireworks. I used to watch them in Central Park.

At the very least, they want tourists to talk about this place. And I think they get that.

I bet they'd look so pretty in the Park.

With big events like this I bet they do.

They're much louder, since it's close to where they're set off.

At the very least it gets people talking.

Eh, louder might not be better, I just like seeing them sparkle.

Maybe there'll be a firework display here on the 4th?

Maybe! That'd be good. Maybe a nice garden party or something in a park.

Star Wars doesn't come around all that often. Usually just once a year.

Oh believe me when I tell you this won't be the last big thing that happens out here. It's not always around a specific holiday but those seem to be acknowledged one way or another more often than not.

You'll probably never get bored living out here that's for sure.

There are a few party and event planners out here. My boyfriend and I run our own companies doing just that. Neither of us were behind this though.

Right? I mean I'm new here so it's not like I've got any connections or whatever but it must be so much work to keep it a secret so it's a surprise.

God I hope not. Those ewoks made a mess at the restaurant when somebody left the back door open long enough for some to get into the kitchen.

That's crazy - I'm pretty sure there has to be some kind of insurance clause, right? For when the events planners do this.

You are asking the wrong girl that question. All I know is that I had to think fast on what to tell my tables about why their orders still weren't ready.

Personal favorite was "The cook is having a slight breakdown." Brought on by Ewoks stealing the food he was preparing.
