Now that I'm curious, I have a question for people who have been dreaming.

Depending on your dreams, would you rather they be more exciting or more mundane?

My own are pretty simple, but it sounds like some people out there only have nightmares from what I read.

I'd give up a nut for them to be more mundane.

Well, maybe not a nut.

That bad?

Ha, those are fairly important, depending on who you ask.

I wish they were just bad.

Have you had dreams yet?

What do you mean by that?

I have, nothing too exciting except bad fashion choices has happened in mine.

My dreams span over a lot of years, I like the time frame of it, not too keen on the person I am in them. However, I can understand why I did a lot of things I did.

Have you been dreaming a long time? That understanding is probably pretty good to have, I think I feel pretty similar to the guy in my dreams.

Mine started a few months ago, I was home for a bit and didn't dream at all and than BAM started dreaming.

Did you meet someone or do something that might have triggered it?

Mine are definitely not nightmares, and I wouldn't trade them for the world.

I wouldn't call them nightmares in my case. A fantastic adventure, maybe

Annoyingly similar to life. In some ways.

Thankfully they seem to be diverging.

In the mundane everyday sense or just that you feel you're too similar to this other self?

Now, I never said my life was mundane. I'm utterly fabulous in all versions. But the dreams are irritatingly close to my own life.

I can't say I've ever thought much about it. I think I'm relatively content with the amount of excitement in my dreams, although at times I suppose that a little less may be more convenient. I certainly wouldn't trade them for anything else.

It seems like most people actually like them. I'm a little surprised. Yours must be pretty nice, though.

To an extent. I dream of the Napoleonic Wars, and there's rarely much that is nice during a war. But I am rather fond of the people in my dreams, and I do find that I miss them when I go for long without dreaming.

It is what it is? I can't really control the dreams, but as someone who was special forces, it brings back more than a few things.
