It's that time of night when you're sitting up alone, missing the people that are no longer with you because Spotify threw their favorite artist at you.

But it doesn't hurt this time. That's good right? Or bad?

I think it can be a good thing. It kind of seems like you have come to terms with it and now you aren't hurting, which is always a good thing.

She was a violinist. It's nice to be able to listen to violins without the hurting.

Ahhh, gotcha. Yeah, it's nice to listen to things and not hurt - violins are so beautiful too.

I wish I could ask her if she ever wanted what she recorded made available to the public.

Oh that is tough. I think that since you can't get approval that just listening to it in private will probably be the best way to do it, sadly.

Which I can do, but its a shame others can't hear it

Yeah, maybe you could try to reach out to others who talk to them and see if they can ask? Or you could just make anonymous accounts and throw it up on soundcloud with no explanation lol

I think you misunderstand, I meant the original recordings made by the woman who's no longer with us.

Well, you could still reach out to family and ask what they think about it. However, I do have to say that if they are no longer here with us it isn't a bad thing to want to share this piece of them with the world.

Definitely not on good terms with her family.

I'll have to think about it.

Ahhh, gotcha. :(

Definitely do that. Sometimes it's nice to keep something like that close to you heart, but also nice to share it. It's a tough decision.

It's a good thing. You will always miss them, but you're also moving on and living your life. And that's always important.

Just speaking the truth from experience. But yes, it is nice once you realise that you can listen to something or see something and be okay.

It's sad it has to be from experience

Sure, but how do you grow otherwise?

[info]ahsoka_tano

Probably much more slowly, I'd say.

If at all. There's so much that attributes to growing as a person, and hardship is part of that. How you cope and come out of it.

Even if it changes you for the worse?

Yes, not all growth is positive not matter what we might like to wish for. Again, it comes down to how you cope and come out of it.

I think it's a good thing that it doesn't hurt anymore to think about them.

Not hurting anymore isn't the same as forgetting someone you cared about. It's just...remembering the good times you had with them more.

I think if anyone ever got to a point where there were better at dealing with loss we should all be very worried.

True, I'm not a Jedi any more, so I don't have to let go of attachments quite as much

[info]_alicedear

I think that's one reason I could never be a Jedi - I couldn't let go of my attachments.

To be honest, it isn't even about that. You can have friends, you can love people, you can love whole planets.

It's about knowing when to let something go. Someone dying, your life changing, etc, you have to know when it's time to let it go.

When you're basically a space wizard, not learning that lesson is bad.

Should just switch over to goats screaming.

Also, I'm sorry. That really sucks.

Did you know that as soon as goats are born they're capable of tax evasion?

Something I saw online, about how ungolates are born ready to file taxes, except goats, being bastards, did the tax evasion.
