Since I haven't heard of any weird Orange County fuckery happening today... I'm going to guess the reason I came home from work to the entire apartment complex's mailboxes on the ground and the wood all broken has absolutely nothing to do with the weather and absolutely everything to do with them being original to the buildings?

I don't think anything weird is going on. I haven't seen anything. Maybe it's just that someone is an asshole.

Pretty sure the someone in question is the landlord for not replacing the wooden thing they all sit on. It's got to be older than my dad, at least. When I texted him (the land lord, not my dad) a picture he said someone must have backed over it. ...there aren't any tire tracks anywhere near it. Just admit it probably rotted and replace it. Maybe with something that won't fall apart from being in the elements.

Two years this summer. I lived in a different apartment for a year before that, and before that... was home with my parents. We always lived in a house, so I'm honestly still figuring out a lot of things about renting.

Damn, I didn't even think about that. I know Armin and I weren't expecting any packages, so it didn't even cross my mind. But I remember all the stories on facebook about porch pirates around the holidays.

And here I was thinking of just boxing up the contents of the litter box or from changing the bedding in the rabbit hutch for them to find. But having it sent to mine or Armin's work would probably be more productive.

Yeah. I mean, you just have to hide them and whatever way you're keeping them powered up, but besides that, there are a ton of free or pay apps to use. And you can check on them from your computer or current phone.

It's also a great way to make sure you get use out of something you paid a lot of money for, and they don't go into the landfills. Mom set some of our old ones like that up at her bakery because she liked the thought of it being environmentally friendly.

Well, just to see what kind of reaction that gets before you start to really piss them off.

With luck you can get those ugly (both literally and figuratively speaking) comics by that failed comic book artist. Some of them are great for a laugh before ripping them up and tossing them in the trash where they go. Others are just infuriating. Depends on the out of touchness with reality vs homophobic and racist content, really.

I don't collect them, no. I toss them as soon as I get to a shredder. But I've heard that a lot of people DO collect the ones that they find, mainly for the comedic value. Of the ones that aren't just offensive as fuck.
