So is that like... the eye of Sauron or something?

It's our first picture of a black hole and...

Probably.

Probably a good time to check on my dad, make sure he didn't get pulled into that.

Or one like it

Well, given he's on an 'extended off planet trip' and all? It's an actual concern.

Can you send him a message?

That I can, thankfully. Unless he doesn't reply, then it's me going offworld to try and find him. Which I love a good trip but I'd rather not if that's the reason behind it.

If you want help with that, just ask!

Thanks. Luckily I'm pretty sure K-9 has kept the video feed to my TARDIS open so it should be easy enough. Still, one never knows.

Well, I doubt it's ever as easy as it should be.

This is true. Especially when my dad is involved.

Not intentionally. At least usually.

I’ve seen the social media posts about the photos of the black hole. Pretty cool!

It's science!

The technology is fascinating. I'm surprised it's just coming out now though.

It takes a lot of time to process the image, and then there are scientific journals and other considerations

True. I suppose it takes several passes when it's being processed to get a really clear picture.

It makes me wish I would have went into something like that even though I doubt I have the mind for it.

I'm not even going to pretend to understand Quantum physics, but I can still appreciate it.

As a physicist I appreciate that.

This is a far safer way to see a black hole. I can appreciate its beauty here. In my dreams, I was in the galactic core of this galaxy for a period of time fighting enemies. I didn't get much of a chance to take in where I was at the time.

It really was. Or would have been if I wasn't in the middle of a suicide mission.

More like a nightmare that I barely escaped from. People typically aren't supposed to survive suicide missions, but we managed.

By definition that wasn't a suicide mission, at least?

[info]nobodysperfect

True, though considering the injuries I suffered there, I kind of would've preferred death. At least until I got some medi-gel, then I was glad I wasn't dead.

Believe me, I wished the same thing when I woke up here with those injuries. Luckily there are those with healing magic, and I was able to be healed by that.

It's a pity my own magic is not really the healing sort.
