Who thought that a television show based on The Purge movies was something we really needed as a society? Who thought that was good idea? Just...really?

I saw the trailer for one of those films and thought it looked awful. I can't imagine a tv series would be any better.

Exactly. And with those I can watch them with my cat in my lap and not worry about him getting scared and shredding my pajama pants.

It's been a problem in the past.

I still maintain that if there was an actual purge and crime was legal for one day, most people would just be hacking into computer systems and deleting their college loan debt.

Those that would choose to be jackasses that day are the same people that are dangerous all year round. And don't worry, I don't have any interest in it. I never cared much for the movies, either, because it's just such a dumb premise.

I thought the story was pretty well told in the first movie. I can't imagine what they're going to do for a television series.

I haven't seen any of them and I don't want to. They just...seem kind of repetitive to me. And like they'd be way too scary for me to enjoy.

I'm not too big on scary movies, but these ones aren't too bad.

I much prefer action, like the Fast and the Furious films.

And comedy, too.

They could see these type of stories on the news for free though. Home invasions. Robberies. Murders. I just don't get the appeal of these I guess.
