Lets make this a proper competition.

Future Industries is always looking for fresh blood, particularly among women and girls. We're prepared to meet or exceed any salary the competition has to offer.

In addition, we offer free medical and dental coverage, credits and scholarships for advanced schooling, and paid internships for those just starting out, with room for advancement. We're also in need of two new department heads. Which leads me to my next announcements.

We've begun preparations to build a fleet of airship, for both commercial and personal purposes. They'll be cheaper and faster than conventional trucks or cargo ships for all but the largest cargo. We expect the first six to be available later this year. Three prototypes are currently available for viewing at our publically accessible race track. One luxury liner, a cargo hauler, and a model suitable for tourist applications such as the Grand Canyon, or people transport. I've taken to calling that one the skybus.

Additionally, FI is building a new advanced particle accelerator. When complete, it will be one of the largest in the world, available for both research and practical applications at low cost to scientists.

Oh, game on.

That's quite the news. I'm impressed. Where do I send my resume?

There's probably a conflict of interest there.

Oh, yes. You're probably right. Sorry, new CEO here. I'm forgetting the rules.

Shame. Guess I'll just have to do something better.

Working for your competitor is probably a no-no.

You can try!

You consider me your competitor already? I'm flattered.

I don't know if you want that. I have a tendency to exceed expectations when it comes to scientific endeavors.

I've seen what you're capable of, it wouldn't be smart to underestimate you.

It'll be healthy for society.

I have no idea how to respond to that without sounding bitter

Indubitably.

I don't want this to be personal, I can't just let competition slide without a response

Maybe Stark'll get in on the fun.

As it happens, I have been looking for a change in career. This fits the bill perfectly.

One question, would you allow inventions created and only existing in my dream life being put on my resumé?

Technically, they should be something that's theoretically possible in this world.

Good to know. Now I can sort my resumé accordingly.

Why do I think you're going to disappear into your workshop?

Perhaps because I need inventions in this world to put on a resumé. Especially considering forensic archaeologist does not have many crossovers with an engineer.

As it happens, I only plan to send my resumé to one place: Future Industries. I hold to my loyalties. When I'm not mad with grief

So, does it count as an invention of my own if I reverse engineered devices from my dreams, improved the design, and built brand new versions that are sometimes very close, and sometimes only tangentially connected to the dream originals?

I suppose they do? It's a lot like what I do. But this wasn't an open invitation for inventions, but for minds.

Right. They were just meant to be an example.

I'm kind of new to the whole inventing thing. And... to be honest, to the looking for a job thing.

Dreams gave me... inventing and engineering skills.

I'm interested in applying. Even if I have no idea whether or not I know what I'm getting into, here.

Applications are available on our website! We'll see how it goes, I suppose, but have some confidence in yourself.

I think there's a lot of talent out there. It might take time to find it, but especially talented women, they keep finding this network.

It's pretty cool.

Seeing it reminds me of what my mother did, as a scientist and as a parent, she taught me that you could do anything you put your mind to. She would be delighted to see so many women in STEM fields today.
