I'm watching Eurovision and this year there are a lot of really great entries! There's the usual craziness but I think I'd be torn as to who I were to vote for this year. Anyone else watching?

I love Eurovision! I have to admit this year seems less crazy than previous years.

I'm not sure how there could be crazier ones than the Croatian entry. That one...that one was something else entirely.

No, I think this is only my 2nd time watching? And the first time I think I only caught snippets instead of the whole thing. Crazier ones? Oh dear, dare I ask? Any ones that stand out in your mind?

Ah, well basically when the scores are in don't expect voting to be because of the performances. Basically Eurovision is a European popularity contest and the UK are never very popular, currently less so with most countries thanks to Brexit. I assume your boyfriend has explained that debacle?

This was my first time watching and I found it was really joyous and I really liked some of the songs. My favourites were Belarus with the happy hippy wedding song and Romania with the yodelling rap. What were yours?

Oh yes, I remember that one, it felt like the band Madness were performing! I really liked the Belarusians, I think their band was called Naviband or something. It was such a happy song even though I didn't understand the lyrics!

It was fun, I'm not sure I could do a full on drinking game to it though. Not without risking severe liver damage anyway! That he did, I don't necessarily think it all needed to be demonstrated in one song!

It's a song competition for the European nations, along with Australia (randomly). There are some serious entries and then some really quite crazy ones. It's really just a bit of fun.
