If I never see another Valentine or glitter ever again, it will be too soon. Despite the cleaning I did before I left yesterday and the janitorial staff cleaning - there is still glitter from the children’s Valentine party all over my classroom. The kids had fun though and that’s the important thing right?

I just have to keep reminding myself of that. And that it was one day. The rest of the holidays my students will be celebrating are far less glittery.

It'll be okay.

And awesome! Glitter is evil.

Glitter is and it gets everywhere and I'd rather just deal with fingerpaint all over my clothes.

Yeah, totally. I can see that.

Say... how does one become a teacher?

I went to college and got my teachers license.

I love my students despite complaining. It's the only job I ever wanted. I'm just not in the best of spirits I guess.

But you're interested in becoming a teacher what age group?

Cool.

And That's okay. Hey, this is a safe place to vent, okay?

I am. I think?

High school, or early college. Specifically computers and languages.

So I'm being reminded it seems.

I teach kindergarten but I kept in touch with some of my old classmates that are teaching that age range. If you want to talk to people and see if teaching is for you.

There's likely going to be glitter in the corners for the rest of the year. I think it's impossible to mop up.

Amazing how it spreads! And how the kids just want to pour it everywhere.

Ben came home from day care with glitter in his hair.

I can honestly say that hasn't happened to any of my boys yet but there was one that somehow managed to get paint under his shirt.

Oh, Ben's definitely the kind of boy who would get paint under his clothes. No idea how.

I have no clue how this little one managed it. I'm making a point to keep a closer eye on my students while painting to see if I can figure it out.

That sounds like a solid plan.

I leave the messy activities (painting, etc.) up to Ben's day care.

I'm sure the kids appreciate your sacrifice, I bet they had a lot of fun. Apparently nail polish remover on cotton wool picks up glitter well.

Well that's reassuring. It is amusing to hear some of the guys in my team moan about being dragged by their other halves to go see it.

I've never understood women doing that! If your boyfriend or spouse or whoever doesn't want to go see something with you don't drag him to it! Go watch it with a girlfriend or something! You'll have more fun than with him being miserable beside you.

I never understood the guys agreeing either. If you don't want to go just tell her. I don't think Aud has ever made me see a movie I didn't want to see.

And if she can't handle that her boyfriend doesn't want to see it - perhaps it's time to sit down and talk about the relationship.

I can't picture Audrey even trying to make you do something you didn't want to do. Or you doing that to her.

Yeah there is definitely that too.

Nope, we're grown up enough to have proper conversations about things and do things separately. Something a lot of couples seem to struggle with now.

I love Lush's bath bombs because a lot of them are glitter filled but (!!!!!) they're biodegradable glitter so it washes away!

So I can bathe in glitter and rose petals and all of that wonderful stuff and then the glitter goes away.
