There was this goddess Gaea. She used my mother to force me to raise up her son Alcyoneus and then I found out she needed a willing sacrifice for him to be free. She was going to destroy the world, so...I guess there wasn't much of a choice. Destroy him and my mother and myself in the process or let my mother die and destroy the world. Either way I'd have died. I just wanted to die on my own terms, not hers. So I brought the whole island down on top of us.
