Two years of living here - give or take - and this place has finally decided to start turning me into my alien-self. Except in my unlucky scenario, it's not a magical 'wake up and I'm blue and scaly' thing. It's uncomfortable with a touch of awkward, but it won't take much to adjust when it's all done. As a turian I can take a goddamn missile to the face and survive, on the bright side. It's happened. The scars were impressive.

Anyway, thanks to the transition I've experienced a growth spurt that's forced me to purchase an entire new line of clothing to accomodate the extra height and longer limbs. If you're about six feet and can fit in a large, I've got clothes that I need to get rid of. My wife's fussing about how it's all taking over the closet. The sooner the better.

I'd also comment about how much I'm going to miss the human taste of food, but my allergies (a cosmic joke, I'm sure) have made it damn near impossible to enjoy most things, so maybe not.

There is a sort of difference? Regeneration means we don't actually die. Our bodies change completely. Sometimes we have been known to even change genders when we regenerate. Though while we remain the same person, we have a differences, beyond the physical ones, that set us apart from previous regenerations. Personality changes, different parts of said personality become expressed in different regenerations. For instance, throughout all of my regenerations I have a love for exploring time and space and seeing new things, but sometimes I'm cranky and stand-off-ish when interacting with others, and others I am friendly and optimistic. It's a complicated process, but it allows us to survive. Unless of course someone kills us during our regeneration or shoots us through both of our hearts. Then we're stone cold dead.

A potential invasion? Not every day one gets a warning for these things, but I shall keep an eye out. I am also able to use my ship to scan for life forms and other such things, so if you need another eye in the sky, as it were, to keep tabs on an approaching threat, I'll gladly help there.

And does who you are now count as a regeneration? Or are you completely separate from all the different lives you dream? That's got to get complicated.

I won't say no. I'll talk to my Commander, and maybe we can get something going? We have our own ship out in orbit for surveillance, but otherwise we've working with limited sources.

Yes, it does. And believe me, it does get complicated. Especially as there are ways to get more regenerations. Typically, Time Lords only have thirteen, then at the end of the thirteenth regeneration we actually die, so our cheating death ability is not infinite. However, one can steal regenerations, or be given another set entirely. I was recently given a whole new set of regenerations.

Brilliant! Simply let me know. My TARDIS is not for fighting, but scanning, monitoring and the like are easily done. I am also able to cloak it so it can go undetected if needed.

Who gives you these new set of regenerations? I'm imaging some sort of godmother fairy of time.

Scanning and monitoring are definitely needed. Maybe we can all meet up at some point and discuss? Shepard never wastes a moment showing off the Normandy, and we can compare systems.

There is no godmother fairy of time. Time Lords can bestow them through use of some device or other. The Sisterhood of Karn also possess this ability. They are not Time Lords, but they are originally from my home planet.

I think that would be a brilliant idea. I also never waste a moment showing off my TARDIS. My TARDIS can probably fit inside of the Normandy so long as it's bigger than a police call box. We can take turns showing things off.
