Two years of living here - give or take - and this place has finally decided to start turning me into my alien-self. Except in my unlucky scenario, it's not a magical 'wake up and I'm blue and scaly' thing. It's uncomfortable with a touch of awkward, but it won't take much to adjust when it's all done. As a turian I can take a goddamn missile to the face and survive, on the bright side. It's happened. The scars were impressive.

Anyway, thanks to the transition I've experienced a growth spurt that's forced me to purchase an entire new line of clothing to accomodate the extra height and longer limbs. If you're about six feet and can fit in a large, I've got clothes that I need to get rid of. My wife's fussing about how it's all taking over the closet. The sooner the better.

I'd also comment about how much I'm going to miss the human taste of food, but my allergies (a cosmic joke, I'm sure) have made it damn near impossible to enjoy most things, so maybe not.

I kind of know how you feel. I've taken on new physical attributes thanks to the dreams as well and changed species. Not quite as drastic, no blue or scales but my skin did change color. Hair too.

Changes seem to be a common thing around here. I guess I can appreciate this place giving me some time to enjoy my humanity, but what crap card did you get handed with?

I've definitely learned that. Two years seems like a long time before changing species. At least from what I've encountered. My skin is all pale now and my hair. I look like I live in the morgue, which I guess is kind of true.

Turning into the particular species I am involves a lot of changes, not just outer appearance. It's everything internal, and my diet will be completely altered. I won't be able to digest food found on this planet, but thanks to science and the miracles of Orange County I've found someone who can replicate dextro-amino foods.

Ah, so you looked like a corpse? Since those are the only things that live in a morgue.

Those don't sound appetizing. No offense. I know what you mean though, my diet has changed as well.

Yes, something like that. I was more referring to not getting out in the light since I work in the morgue.

I'm going to go on a hunch and guess you're a vampire? There's a lot of those around here.

Good guess, but no. They do seem to be common around here. Although I've only met one... I think.

I met one some time ago, and she was...interesting. Most of my awareness of them comes from the network, though.

Should I even bother asking what you are? I feel like if you wanted people to know you would have said it already.

Same. Although the one I met was before I put too much stock in the network or paid close enough attention. He literally woke up on the autopsy table. Not my favorite experience.

You'd be correct in that guess. It's not something I'd share with strangers or this whole network.

A vampire woke up on your autopsy table. That'd make anyone need a change of pants, even the most seasoned of us.

Understandable. And no judgment here, my alien-form is of a bipedal raptor with turtle qualities. I get compared to a cockatiel.

Right after I cut into him. Not exactly fun times. I didn't need a change of pants but I definitely jumped.

Are there any other aliens on here? You're the first I've seen.

I'm guessing he behaved with you? Didn't try to make you into his human bloodbag?

There's probably a few that I don't know about but I think 'aliens' are on the rarer side of what people can turn into.
