Okay, since I'm officially under house arrest and my car keys have been stolen (not like I can fit behind the wheel anymore anyway), I need some help.

Netflix suggestions. I'm going cross-eyed reading and movement isn't all that great an idea, so I need something to rot my brain. Nothing overly long, I've got two months before free time will be a long forgotten memory, but I need some stuff to watch.

Pretty sure I can steal access to Henry's Hulu.

I've been watching "The Path" and it's really good.

What's it about? I cannot go too scary, because I'm a jumpy freak.

It's about a cult. People in it who want out, and people outside who want in... that sort of thing. It's... I can't even describe it, but it's really good. With the kid from Breaking Bad. Aaron something?

Eh, cults. I could give it a whirl. At least try it.

It reminds me of that show Big Love. Kinda. It's weird that sometimes it makes me think "actually, that sounds kinda awesome" and all the other times I think "these people are batshit."

Well, I didn't hate Big Love. I didn't watch it the whole way through either. I moved a little after I started watching it and then I never went back. I guess giving it a shot won't do any harm.

It's totally a different quality than Big Love. There's more drugs and violence. The same amount of sex, I guess. (That show was full of sex, man.)

If you don't like it, you can always turn it off. I'll see if anything else pops out at me that you might like.

That's true, there is always the off switch. But apparently it's definitely something to watch when the kid is out of the house.

Yeeeah. I don't know much about kids, really, but I wouldn't let a kid watch this show with me.

I don't really like subjecting him to some of that stuff. He's about that age where this stuff sticks, but he's super smart and I don't want too much over stimulation there.

No, I get it. Protect your kids, man. Don't let them see stuff they really shouldn't see. That's important.

Unless I'm just embarrassing him. But sex and drugs and violence on tv, it's a bit much. Although he's a gamer and we live here, so it's hard to really maintain that.

Sometimes it's cutesy, right? Like "oh, gross, Romeo and Juliet are kissing" or whatever. But there's a difference between a kiss at the end of a movie and a shit ton of practically gratuitous sex and violence on an internet-made show.

That stuff is fine, like the pre-watershed stuff? It's harmless. And he's in school, he knows about that stuff. But full sex scenes. No.

Yeeeeah. Most of the time even I don't watch the full sex scenes. Awkward.
