After very literally months and months of hassling myself, I've finally decided to cave in and sign up for this network. So, let's see. It looks like introductions are customary, so I'll do my bit.

My name is Remus Lupin. I've lived here practically my whole life, so I know it can be a bit inexplicably odd at times (it seems like you talk about that a lot here, I thought I'd save myself from the warnings). I'm in my penultimate year of undergraduate studies at UC Irvine. History major and English minor. I'm sure I've seen some of you around? I think that's really all there is to say other than I like tea and pizza.

Hello, Remus. I'm Robin. I was a history major in college as well.

Did you have a particular specialization of history, or just in the general sense?

I specialized in ancient history, but I have an interest in the medieval time period as well.

Do you have a specialization?

What glamorous interests.

I like more contemporary history. Which I realize is something of an oxymoron, but there you have it. More or less everything after the dissolve of the Holy Roman Empire with a fondness for the 20th century.

Thank you.

The words contemporary history are a bit of oxymoron, but really, history is happening every day. It is just as important to learn about what happened in the same century we were born in as it is centuries long past. Perhaps even more so because we are experiencing it and sometimes don't realize it for what it is.

I'm always vaguely suspicious of those who don't.

I'm more than vaguely suspcicious of those who claim not to like tea.

You'll probably still get warnings. I'd put money on it. Because the weirdest stuff didn't start happening to me until I joined this network. Just sayin'.

...did I just make my prophecy come true?

It's like Heaven for tea lovers. I'd call it Teavana, but unfortunately that name's taken. We have some tasty treats, too.

Nice to meet you, too, Remus!

There seem to be quite a few of us who attend UCI. I'm Jem, I'm a music major there.

It's not a terrible school.

Music must be a fascinating subject to take.

I'm very jealous. I can appreciate music but I haven't got an ear for it at all.

That's it? You go to UCI and you like tea and pizza? You could say a little more you know. Like you work with the most amazing blonde waitress/drama major ever. Yes I think that would be appropriate.
