In honor of astronaut Scott Kelly's year-long mission in space, of which the anniversary just passed, NASA so kindly reminded us that he will not only run approximately 648 miles on a space treadmill and will witness 11,000 sunsets, but also that his waste will be jettisoned and burn up in the atmosphere, thus resembling shooting stars.

This is also relevant because I am still a woman and while men's restrooms resemble one of the lower rungs of Hell, I don't understand how ladies restrooms are so messy. Who do I blame? Squatters? Enlighten me, Valar.

So the biker gang not only has my sock, but also a pair of glittery shoes. I'm about 83% certain that they were the same pair of glittery shoes a homeless man on TV was wearing which, combined with a few other factors, leads me to believe that seeing the same pair of glittery shoes in multiple locations was a glitch in the Matrix.

Define 'messy.'

I'm still really impressed by your strangely precise percentages, J. I suppose we can call it the Brotherhood of the Traveling Glitter Flats?

I thought sitting down was supposed to be more urodynamic. Someone needs to explain urine on the seats, along with tampons on the walls/ceiling.

It wasn't even that precise, more like a round-up. I suppose we can. It's honestly not the weirdest thing. Case in point...

By the way, doesn't your polka-dotted dress look cute on me?

Public bathroom, I presume? Let it be known that Impa and I have a pristine bathroom, filled with magazines and scented oils to accentuate our femininity.

And that looks adorable. You've mastered the eye make up. I'm so proud I'm choked.

Oh, it was. It boggled the mind. But I've never seen your bathroom, actually, now that I think of it.

I worked very hard on it, using your tips! I've been conducting a few social experiments as well. I wore a cleavage-bearing shirt to go get coffee this morning and I've had more doors held for me than in my entire life. I also got free coffee. This is a very strange world we live in.

How is manliness for you?

You'll have to take a visit to our loo one day. It's frilly.

I've had no special treatment except for when a barista wrote her number and name on my coffee, but I currently lack the boob currency. Other than that it's been...interesting. In a good way, I guess.

I will, next time I come over. Though probably not like this. I think Impa is already wary of me enough.

See, I had no idea 'boob currency' was a thing. I look at all of this as a really good learning experience, if nothing else?

It's not you, don't worry. And the fact that the confrontation wasn't actually a 'fucked up pregnancy announcement' gave you plenty of points.

It definitely is. You're experiencing the objectification of women. Free things are nice, but the stares and cat calls are not.

Ah, right. Right! That would just be bad all around, I think.

No, no, the cat calls and stares are awful. It's a shame, that cultural stereotypes run so prevalent and are such a large part of our lives. Men have a harder time obtaining social support for their problems - we seem to go back back to the days of beating each other up as a way to express ourselves. Women just interact with other women differently.

Only you would take this experience and turn it into some kind of gender study assignment. Once a nerd, always a nerd.

Well, there's little else to do until it passes! I may as well learn something new. Walk a mile in your shoes, literally.

My feet definitely hurt a little.

My time's being pleasantly occupied. It's a good distraction from the regular motions of life. Temporary, of course, but nice nonetheless.

Oh, they do, but you get used to it. Eventually us women become numb to the pain that comes with being fabulous. It's sad, really.

Pleasantly occupied, hm? I'm glad! For me I'm just working from home. Luckily Vlad's less bitchy today. Though I agree, I was also thinking it's a nice distraction, to literally be someone else.

Numb to the pain sounds awful too. But I can appreciate how fabulous you are as a gender overall.

Come hang out with us at the club if you've got time. It'll be fun to see if the bikers recognize us.

Mmhm! I'll be passing off as Zelda's twin brother, Zeldon.

The name is odd but we didn't have many options...

Is that even a real name? I like it.

I'll come with you though. I've been hearing so many good things about the chicken fingers and the $25 cocktails at that club.

I've not a clue, but it'll work.

Everything's overpriced, but you might be able to work your feminine wiles.

You're a very distinguished gentleman, Zellie.

I'll do my best, going for a 'look, but don't touch' vibe. Touching means I'll break wrists or noses.

I would be so honored if you would! May as well.

I take it as not a slight against my ability to take care of myself and be a strong independent woman, but merely something friends do for each other in these situations.

No matter what happens, you'll still have me for whatever you need. But the future is fluid, right? It's not a definite end game.

I haven't dreamed any further. I consider that a positive, but the story's obviously not over.

And you're right. Though sometimes, we try so hard to change our future, we don't see it creeping up on us anyway.

I think it goes to show that even if we have an idea of what's to come, we can never fully prepare for it. Not really.

Otherwise living here would be too easy, wouldn't it?

I suppose we can't. Lack of control, somewhat. No one likes admitting that.

Living here certainly isn't easy. But it makes sense, why we all stay. Having you with me is just one example.
