Well, I've been here for a few months now, and I've already been told that I work too much, and I need to get out there and meet new people.

Anyway, I'm Daisy Johnson. I'm twenty-six, from Chicago, work for Future Industries, and I love computers, hot wings, and beer. Also, terrible movies.

Great minds?

Or something like that.

Only the greatest. I'm Kitty.

It's nice to meet you, Kitty.

So you're from Chicago, too, then?

Suburb, just outside it, but dad would take me into the city a lot. Haven't lived there in years but I always take an excuse to visit.

My Dad was a doctor. We lived in an apartment above his office. I haven't been out here for too long, but I'm still adjusting. Especially to the weather. Lot different from what I'm used to.

Weather adjustment is the worse. I made the mistake of going from Chicago, to London, then here. Weather whiplash!

I swear, I barricaded myself in my apartment with the AC on for about a week straight. But at least Chicago and London are somewhat similar, weather-wise?

Yeah, they were close enough that it wasn't too terrible of an adjustment.

I bet coming all the way out here after being in those places was one hell of a switch for you.

In every way imaginable.

But at least you're settled now, if you've been here for a few years?

Six years? Maybe Seven? Things got lost in the time stream complicated.

I can see where you'd lose track after a couple of years.

I turned 25 last year. And the year before.

I like that idea. I might just stay twenty-six for the next years. I've decided I like twenty-six. It's a good age.

Floating ages. Sounds like that works for me.

Why age if you don't want to? I like being twenty-six. I think I'm going to stay that way for a little while.

As long as I don't suddenly turn 16 again though, I'd be good.

Yeah. I don't think I'd want to go back to being a teenager. Wouldn't be able to drink, and I was awkward as hell when I was a kid.

I've seen stranger things happen since moving here, though.

Give it time, you'll start seeing it too. We're all crazy, you know.
