Why are textbooks so expensive? What are they printed on, unicorn hide? Good lord. I don't often wish I was back home, but after paying US tuition rates and then having someone slap me with a thousand dollar bill for my textbooks, I'm starting to wonder why I live here. (Oh, right, I love you lot.)

I understand how it works - there's a high demand and low supply, but it shouldn't be that way. Thank god for textbook rental.

They have to have those. I've read the ADA! (I may have been bored and ill and there was a law text in the ladies'.) But at what cost?

That is true, well done young grasshopper. And there are some resources that have some decent titles in braille, as well. Shakespeare, Game of Thrones. A lot of Star Trek novelizations. But they cost more than your standard paperback.

Oh, my biceps are killer. Lugging around braille law books keeps you in shape.

It gets even better when you pay out hundreds of dollars to get an envelope with a single sheet of paper in it, for a code to a digital download of your textbook. And oh, yes, your professor is the one that wrote it.
