Okay first of all, am I going to wake up with injuries after every freaking dream I have? Because that's totally not cool with me. Also definitely don't like those Cabal assholes for breaking into our home. I wanted to take them all out, but no, the Morrigan intervened.

But hey, my dreams left me my shiny badass gun, so I'll take that. I still want the motorcycle though. Do the dreams take requests for gifts because yeah, the motorcycle's definitely my request.

I would gladly have taken guns over what they've given me so far.

Dare I ask what your dreams have given you thus far?

Besides a headache and the overwhelming desire to choke someone?

Yesterday I woke up to a pair of incredibly boring, dusty looking brown robes. They aren't my style. At all.

Oh yes, and the hilt of a laser sword, which of course doesn't function at all. So helpful, these dreams.

Brown robes definitely sound boring and stupid. The laser sword would be awesome, though, if it worked.

Here's to hope that you'll get something cool and immensely more useful, like a gun.

In my dream world there's an order of dried up old men that make a fashion statement wearing the things. They call themselves 'Jedi' and butt their noses into other people's business. I especially like the way they tell other people how to live.

That's sarcasm if you couldn't tell.

If the laser sword worked, I'd be very happy with that. But a gun would be wonderful.

Sounds like they've got huge sticks up their asses if you ask me for doing all of that. Seriously, is that how they get off because there are better ways, dude.

The least your dreams could do is give you something that works. Or you could make up for it in your waking life?

They DO have huge sticks up their asses. But I don't think it's how they get off. According to their self-righteous code, they aren't allowed to get off at all. That's probably why they're so uptight.

Oh I have a few pieces already in my day to day. I'm a cop, so of course my usual go to is a Glock. Trusty, reliable. Kind of boring. I've got some other nice handguns in the safe and a few good rifles. My dream world uses 'blasters', which fire a kind of laser. I'd like to get my hands on one of those.

Especially when you're fighting supernatural type creatures. So let me guess, you got a lot of guns and shooting in your dreams?

Sometimes, if you don't draw first, you don't get to draw at all.

At least it got better. It would definitely suck to die. Though clearly it didn't carry over to your waking life, which is comforting when you have dangerous dreams.

Oh, it carried over. Throat slit. Woke up in a puddle of my own blood. Some kind of ritual, killed me then resurrected my body.

Not even close to the strangest or most painful thing that's ever happened to me.

Holy shit. No, seriously, holy shit. That is not what's supposed to happen.

I'm kind of afraid to ask what the strangest or most painful thing you've experienced has been if it's not that.

Wow. Don't take this the wrong way but you must have quite the intense and crazy dream life.

A gun?

[She's not even commenting on the Cabal. She can't.]

Are you all right?

[Does she need to come over with antiseptic and bandages, is what she's asking.]

(Reply to this) (Thread)

[info]wemustletgo
2015-04-19 07:11 am UTC (link)
Yes, a gun. Specifically that one dream you gifted to dream me. It's shiny! And no, I'm not going to go firing it without doing so in a shooting gallery and whatnot.

[And then there's that question that she knows what it means.]

It's just some minor scratches, not that different from the claw marks across my neck?

[By which she means yes she's bleeding and probably not bandaging herself as well as she should. Meaning yes Helen, come tend to your daughter, she won't fight you.]

[Shiny? Really, Ashley. Oh, the look that comment is getting.]

Be careful. Please.

[It isn't a request. The 'please' is added purely for the sake of being polite.]

I'll come by later to redo your bandages.

[If she realizes how similar that is to something she's said before, she ignores the correlation. She prefers to pretend she isn't becoming a little more like her dream self every time she remembers something new.]

Is there anything else you need? I can bring dinner?

I promise I'll be careful, mom.

[She may be ignoring the implied look she's getting as well as the feigned politeness. But the promise is truthful regardless.]

I won't say no to dinner?

[info]britishcharm

[That's good enough for now. As long as she isn't being reckless. She has enough reasons to worry about her already; she doesn't need another added to the list.]

Feeling like anything in particular?
