Back in Orange County for maybe a whole day and I've already been mugged, my car's dead, and I my internet didn't get hooked up.

It's great to be home.

Still, luckily I didn't have any money on me, and public transportation isn't exactly 'the worst'. And without the internet I'm less distracted and can get some of these applications done. Also it's sunny, my home is relatively nice to look at and doesn't smell like old cheese, and I have a plant. So, you know, it brightens the place up.

Well, damn. What gods did you anger for your craptastic day?

But congrats on having your home...not smell like old cheese, because that's an awesome bonus.

No virgins sacrificed, or goats, so probably all of them?

I mean, it's obviously the best home just because of that.

Time to slice some chicken throats, smear the blood on your face and raise the body to the heavens. You know the drill.

Uh, obviously. Good job at house maintenance.

I think I could pull off chicken blood. I hear it cleans up the pores.

What chants do you know that I can use?

I don't want to brag, but... well.

That fucking sucks. I'm sorry about that.

I mean, I don't have any money so it doesn't really matter. I think he took my coupon for a free sandwich, but joke's on him, it's totally expired.

True, but getting a new license and canceling any credit cards is gonna be the part that sucks most.

Eh, yea and having to wait for them to arrive. But I'll have the internet tomorrow. So I'll survive.

Hopefully they don't take long to arrive once you get those replaced. And that's good. At least you'll have one thing going right.

One thing is better than no thing. And I've got a couple of dollars. I'll get some ramen and survive until they arrive.

Ramen, a starving artists best friend.

Not an artist, but definitely understand the starving part.

Right, that was me. Then again, I still eat ramen, just don't rely on it as much as I did back in art school.

So, what is it that you do?

I mean it's tasty. Hardly nutritious, but we're American--why care about that?

I'm currently going after my PhD, and just got in so I'm not working yet, but hope to be working for someone like Stark Industries.

Well, at least you're trying to look on the bright side? Though really, I am quite sorry to hear all of that happened in the span of a day.

Always gotta look on the bright side, otherwise I'd be crying in an empty tub.

I don't know why I chose a tub.

Still, I'll get the internet tomorrow, and life'll be good.

It seems a cliche choice, which is why it came to mind most likely. But yes, look on the bright side, there's enough negativity in the world.

That is very good news.

More than likely. cliche and predictable, that's me.

I agree, too much negativity. Need far more positive, if we have too much of one thing? Then the charge is off balance. And we can't have that.

Well I wouldn't say that's you, I don't even know you. But it does make sense that it would be what comes to mind just because of how cliched it is.

Precisely! Newton's Third Law. In a way. Well, I find it to fit many situations personally.

Oh! One of my favorite laws.

Well they all go hand in hand in hand, so they're all my favorite...

Really... Newton's really just my favorite. The Godfather really.

I've always been a fan of the first law of thermodynamics. That no energy in the universe is created, and none is destroyed. We're all connected and come from the universe and will go out and help become something else.

Newton is pretty brilliant though.

Oh, an absolute brilliant law. It's very poetic, like String Theory, and the idea of an all encompassing definition of existence through one single mathematical equation that is essentially the meaning of life...

Sorry, I'm nerding out...

And yes he is!

No apology necessary! It's so rare that someone understands my love of that law or really much of what I say when I start talking about science.

I get you, anytime I get excited about science I usually get an odd look or the 'coughnerdcough' thing. People say we're more accepted, it's definitely not true.

I usually am told to speak in English and to keep the science talk to a minimum. I wouldn't know about being more accepted, I started at Cambridge when I was 16, so it never was like I really fit in to begin with.

Oh where are my manners! I'm Jemma Simmons, pleasure to meet you.
