Asanti figured out how to open his stall door last night. I woke up because I heard a noise outside my window. Turn the light on and Asanti's head is on my windowsill, tapping with his nose. I think he wanted carrots. My horses seriously never cease to amaze me.

I believe so yes. They're very intelligent, and we do teach them a lot of tricks. I shouldn't be surprised.

That's amazing, really. Sometimes I think people take for granted how smart animals can be.

If you aren't around them all the time, it's easy to forget

All the same, I think that would have scared me. At least at first.

It was a bit of a heart attack at first. I live on the edge of a 100 acre plot, no one's anywhere near me, so I was panicking. Until I saw his face in my window.

Ack. I'd have screamed.

There may have been a girlie scream involved.

No shame! (I think a few good men might have done the girly scream bit, too, let's be honest.)

No shame. None at all. (probably. a giant horse face in the window is not the nicest thing to wake up to)

The urge I have to put on a giant horse mask and stand in my friend's window now is astonishing.
