Lothiriel dreams of far away places. ([info]garland_maiden) wrote in [info]valarnet,

Hello! I'm Lothiriel and new to the area. I just sailed from New York, and I'm excited to be here for a while. I was super excited to drop off gifts for my cousins, Boromir and Faramir. Speaking of? Hi, you guys!

So what does everyone do around here, for fun? I always end up asking when I come into port for a while, since asking the locals is the way to find out where all the best places to eat or drink are, and where to go shopping. If I buy too much, I might sink my little boat! I better be careful that I don't go overboard. :)

I will, madam. At every opportunity. I think I would have made a fantastic pirate. I even have an elaborate froofy hat with a ostrich feather, should the occasion arise.

Yes, please! I haven't decided when I'll be sailing on. There's no set schedule, although I planned to skim up the West Coast toward Vancouver, sooner or later. It should be exciting!

And we all know the hat with the feather is quite necessary for pirating! You're nearly halfway there, already.

There are plenty of gorgeous sites all along the Western Pacific Coastline. You should definitely take them in, even if you do end up docking here for an extended stay.

I know! And it's pretty but it really only goes with pastel and white colored things, so it's like a pirate hat for good guys. I guess that's why I would have to be a reverse pirate, of sorts.

I most definitely will do so! I was hoping to go to San Francisco next, but since there's extended family here and an opportunity to visit, an extended stay makes the most sense. :)

I see!

I hail from San Francisco originally. I dare say we could all make a day of it, sailing up in your boat and walking along the pier there. Monterey is also a must-see. They have award winning clam chowder there, it's very hard to resist.

Then you know all of the best spots to go to! We must. And I , for one, can not resist renowned clam chowder. Let's make a day or two or three of it, sometime!

Let's see if we can't somehow talk your older cousin into taking the time off.

Boromir? But he's already involved with the Texan! O.M.G. Are you his beard? omgomgomg. SCANDALOUS. Oh, we could do that. I think that would be oh so nice. For gathering info. For future gift basket gifts!

Yes, Boromir. Though his brother is sometimes as bad when it comes to arranging time off.

We had to reschedule our dinner date some five times before we finally got to it last time. Well worth it, of course, but the man really does deserve more time off.
