I will confess, despite having a job I enjoy, I am lonely here.

To look out my window and see people, businesses and beautiful things is nice, but it simply isn't the same without someone to share it with. It was my choice to come here, but at the same time, there are things I miss. I miss Creole being spoken in the street. I miss the food. I miss the reality - so many are so fake here. At least most of you on this network seem to be actual people instead of vapid caricatures - no one has yet complained about their tan, or their juice cleanse!

I am sure this is just irritated ramblings, and it will pass. But for now I feel it most acutely.
