In the midst of the ash and chaos, I welcomed a...small bundle of joy? into the world. I'm not sure what the young are called. Pups? Its mother was a beast of burden and faithful companion in my dream world, similar to a horse or camel. Her name is Rooh and I've decided to call her wee one Owen. I think it's a male, anyway.

Congratulations?

What do they actually look like?

They are pink in color, with long snouts.

Pink with long snouts...like an ant eater?

Not unlike an ant eater at all, but with longer legs. You can ride them when they're grown.

Sounds like an interesting mode of transportation. I'll have to keep an eye out for you on one of them!

I'll give mother and baby some time to get to know one another first.

Ah, good idea. That bonding time is quite important.

They appear to be doing well. I can't say I'm an expert.

I suppose they'll let you know if anything is the matter.

What do these things eat?

Fortunately, the same food we feed the horses here. Hay, grain, oats, etc.

That is very fortunate.

Do you think you'll need to house them in their own stables?

I'm actually in the process of building some close to my house. Right now, mother and child are a bit cramped where they keep the horses. Have I mentioned I reside in a cabin on the grounds of a large ranch?

I did not know this, but it sounds very nice!

A perfect place to raise these...what are they called?

That's right. I never said, did I? They are called Eopies.

Eo-pies? Eopies. Interesting!

Good luck with the stable building and raising! If you ever have a chance to take a picture, would love to see them!
