If this was from the second show in Glasgow during the U2 360° tour, I'm pretty sure it was me who yelled at Bono. I drank a lot that night so my memory has some holes.

Donnae judge me.

We've all been there.

Pompous twat, more like. The rest of the band was spot on performance-wise but you could tell they donnae care much for Bono's social politicking all the time.

No fucking sun in Ireland either, mate, last I heard.

There's a wee bit on the southwest coasts during late summer. More than we get up north, at any rate. Far less than this festering cesspit of a desert.

Speaking of... can we get some rain soon? Or has it been banned from Southern California along with public transportation and proper news coverage?

Me and the weather here DO NOT get along. If you have a month or three to spare, pull up a chair and listen to me bitch about it.

Still interested in bevvies sometime, Oliver? We keep running into each other on here but never seem to nail down anything.

Aye, right! Bevvies. I've got some shite down at the mo but perhaps later this week? How's your Saturday suited? Would love to hear you bitch about the weather and knock in my two pennies.

Aye, Saturday works. You acquainted much with the Santa Ana area? There's a pub there that broadcasts all the day's footie matches on UK satellite feed.

I'm out of Villa Park. Cannae say I know Santa Ana well but innae too far. Been to a fair few pubs in that area. To which are you referring?

The Olde Ship? There's two locations, apparently. I always go to the one in Santa Ana because it's close to where I live.

Aye, I know the place! Say 6pm? That's about when they usually start replaying the day's matches. There's three for Saturday: Dundee Utd v Johnstone, Hearts v St. Mirren and Inverness v Motherwell. Any catch your fancy?

Inverness v Motherwell could be a good match up. As would Dundee United. Any of these is fine, really.

I'll clear my evening. I usually end up sticking round til they shut on nights there's matches.

Is there another way to leave a pub than by the heel of the proprietor and an impatient cabbie?

Nae, we says! Donnae forget the pissing and moaning which leads to kicking and screaming because the tap got cut off five minutes before it should've.

I hate that! It's cruel, unusual punishment and by rights of the constitution should be illegal this side of the pond. Seems to happen often though establishments do stay open past midnight. Suppose I can be alright trading five for one hundred fifteen minutes.... Especially if it means getting in another match.

Make it more like 35. Pubs over here are notorious for setting their clocks fast - anywhere from a quarter to a full half hour. Cheating bastards!

Going to bring a control clock on Saturday, then. Drinking right up to the last possibly minute and beyond if we get the round in right.

You donnae have to be anywhere Sunday, aye?

I've been working on a bon voyage party for it for a while now. Guess it's time to haul out the streamers and blow ticklers!
