Magnus had woken up later than usual, so his early morning run on the beach had turned into an early afternoon run. He preferred the mornings because there were less people and he could just run without worrying about running into small children, whose families weren't watching them, or dogs that were chasing balls or Frisbees, but the afternoon was going to have to due for today. It was because of the fact that there were more people around that he also enjoyed running in the afternoon. Magnus greatly enjoyed attention and attention was exactly what he got when he went running in nothing but a pair of black running shorts that looked like that belonged in the eighties. The shorts left little to the imagination and he ran with a smirk upon his lips as he caught women and men, alike, looking at him as he ran past. Every now and then he'd overhear snippets of comments about how he should put a shirt on or wear longer shorts, but Magnus knew he looked good and soon his picture would be plastered all over the place with him in nothing but underwear, so he really didn't see a reason to cover up now.

"I actually hadn't declared a major when I started. And I didn't actually graduate, because I started getting modeling jobs before that could happen." Magnus' parents hadn't exactly been thrilled when Magnus dropped out of college to pursue modelling, but after a few years they came around when it looked like Magnus would actually have a career in it, "Besides simply feeling like it was something you needed to do, what made you decide to move all the way out here?"

"Ah, well, I guess it's good that you didn't graduate. It ended up working out for the better." Sure, his parents would think it silly to drop out for something like modeling but Alec admired the fact that Magnus did what he wanted and it paid off in the end. "I just needed space from everything I knew...and I'm kinda hoping that I can finally...be who I want to be and not who my parents want." He looked at Magnus and gave him a light smile. "Anyway, why did you decide to stop your run?"

	Magnus' brows rose slightly as Alec mentioned finally being who he wanted to be, but he didn't inquire just yet, because he was pretty sure he had an idea of what he meant. Instead, he decided to answer his question. "If you were in my shoes, wouldn't you stop to talk to you?" He smirked down at the dark haired boy. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"Answering my question with a question?" he inquired. "And I really don't know. I don't exactly find myself to be all that interesting," he said, honestly. He was just a guy from New York City while Magnus was the guy who was modeling and showing off his impressive body. "I don't really see anything that sets me apart from anyone else." And that was exactly why Magnus had stopped. Okay, so he wouldn't have known Alec felt like that had he not actually stopped to talk to him, but it was because he didn't see anything special in himself that Magnus was compelled to stay and tell him just how wrong he really was, "For one, your tattoos definitely set you apart." He said, quirking a brow at Alec, "And two, have you looked in a mirror lately? Or have you not bought any yet?"

Was this guy being serious? No one had really complimented him like this before and Alec couldn't help the blush that washed over his face as he turned his face to hide it. "I'm not the only person with interesting tattoos," he mentioned, even if he didn't know if others had tattoos similar to his own. "And I'm afraid that I couldn't afford a mirror," he lied, in a playful tone.

Oh Magnus was quite serious. "No, but I've never seen ones quite like that and I would even go as far as to say that you're probably the only person with tattoos quite like that." After all, Alec had said that they were designs he's done himself. "And if that's true, my place is just down the beach and I have plenty of mirrors." He smirked down at Alec, "Everyone should know just how good looking that are."

	Alec's jaw dropped open at the 'proposition' and he swallowed as he blushed, yet again. This guy was certainly a charmer and Alec didn't know if he was capable of resisting such a man, if it came down to it. He opened his mouth to try and say something but words failed him. Other people might have thought that they'd offended Alec, but Magnus could tell from the way he blushed and looked away that he was simply overwhelmed by the things that he was saying. He watched Alec for another moment or two before he, again, crouched down beside him, this time just a tad bit closer, "You're cute when you blush, you know that?" Secretly, he hoped that it'd make Alec blush even more, because he had a feeling that no one else had ever told him that before.

	And blush he did. Alec couldn't process what was happening and he had to admit that he was nervous to look back over at Magnus. He swallowed again and focused on the sand near his feet. "Um...thanks..." he said, shyly. What else was he suppose to do? He was starting to feel so inexperienced. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Magnus couldn't have kept from grinning if he'd tried. He was terrible and he knew it. "You're quite welcome." He could tell, simply by the way that Alec kept from looking at him that being complimented, especially from a guy was completely new for the boy and despite the fact that he didn't think he was making him uncomfortable, he wanted to make sure. Even Magnus knew when to draw the line, "I'm not making you uncomfortable, am I? If I am then I'll leave." He at least wanted to give Alec the option.

He wouldn't describe it as "uncomfortable" but it was certainly different than he was used to feeling, that he could admit. Not to mention that part of him didn't want Magnus to leave, given that he liked the attention. This was mainly due to the fact that this was something that he wanted to do with his new freedom...flirt with guys. He just hadn't expected it to happen so soon, or with someone that was so attractive. So, deciding to not trust his lips, he shook his head, for a quick moment, before adding, "No, I'm not uncomfortable...I'm just...new...to all this."
