Peter's clothes were probably a bit drab, but really who noticed things like that? Except fashionistas, especially fashionistas who had slept with you once. Then bailed and never called back, like ever. Peter wasn't even that upset about that, not anymore; still, a man like Peter wonders "did I suck that much?". What's worse, if he told any male friends of his, they'd likely laugh and tell him to enjoy it. Damn it all to hell, what's a nerd to do around these parts?
Again, she was incredibly correct in assuming his clothes were still drab. He wore a brown jacket, over blue hoodie, which was worn to cover a black wife-beater beneath that. A pair of jeans and some typical sneakers kept Peter's look looking childish; although, in all fairness, he'd managed to go home and change into something less work-related. Pocket protectors and slacks weren't exactly all that stylish either--as far as he was concerned. Why was he even worried about it? Why was he even going through with this?!
The girl had bailed after one night, never managed a hello or 'lol, winky face' since; again, not that he was too terribly upset with the matter, it just really came down to the fact that he was suddenly turning this girl into his personal love guru? Which was a horrific movie. Okay, maybe she was more of a Hitch type; yet, even then that made him Kevin James and that's just not who Peter wanted to be--oh his mind was wandering again. Simply going places it didn't need to, because he was nervous. He knew nothing was going to happen. She was in a committed relationship, he was Peter Parker, and he's not gullible enough to fall for that a second time. Still, here he was approaching the address she'd given him, and looked out from behind the windshield with a bit of a sigh. He slammed his head lightly against the steering wheel and slipped out of the car.
"Least you could have done, Parker, is put on a decent pair of clothes," said to himself, "Girl's already told you that you dress like a hobo."
This was true, but he didn't have time to go back now. Plus, as brash and perhaps even off-putting as she could be; the fact she was trying to help showed a level of morality he didn't figure he was giving her enough credit in having. She was trying to help, and really that's all that it came down to, wasn't it?
So Peter figured he didn't have much to lose in credibility with women, so put his pride on the line and pushed his way into the shop. As he stepped inside, he looked around with his hands immediately falling to rest palms on jeans, rubbing at them as he kind of bobbed his head looking around at the clothes and what not, clearing his throat, "Yea, uh... hello? Is this where I come to pick up my Blu Ray copy of Mirror, Mirror? Just adore Julia Roberts."
