Who: James Hook and whomever
What: Open bar post
When: July 19
Where: A bar
Rating: Starting low, will change if needed
Status: In progress

It's been a long week, but it's Saturday now, and James has decided it's time to relax a bit. Maybe he'll take the boat out tomorrow, but right now he feels a little more social. Perhaps he'll meet some new friends.

So he settles in at the bar and orders a glass of red wine to start the night with. Hopefully someone will come by who's interesting enough to hold a conversation with.

Sharon's trying to be as supportive as she can to D'Artagnan, as he tries to suss out what steps he wants to take in his professional career. She can't help but be a little hurt? Or a little concerned or confused or... generally upset about the idea that he might take this job at the Agency and leave her behind. Not that she can blame him, though. He's a good man, and deserves a really good job. And things are not great for either of them at the department. The old badges give them hell. Sharon isn't exactly the type to roll over and take orders blindly.

At least she can take some time to have a drink on her own. Hopefully it'll be relaxing instead of stressful. It's a nice night, so she walks a block or so from where she parked to the bar. There's a patio outside, one that's fenced in. It seems like a nice place to sit and have a drink. But first she needs to get one. She moves up to the bar and leans against it, waiting to get the bartender's attention. He seems a bit busy with a group down at the far end of the bar.

Never let it be said that James M. Hook is one to ignore a lady in distress. And a lady waiting too long for a drink is certainly distressful.

So he raises his voice to call to the bartender, raising his hand a little to catch his attention, "Excuse me, sir. I believe this fine young lady is waiting for some assistance."

Certainly distressful. As independant as Sharon is, she does appreciate a little help every once in a while. Even from a man. She turns to give him a thankful smile, and pauses at the sight of the man who'd just given her said assistance. Wow. Good-looking. She clears her throat.

"Thank you," she says to the man, then turns to the bartender. "I'll have a Sierra Nevada, please? From the tap."

As the bartender turns to pull her beer from the tap, Sharon turns to her savior once more. "I probably would have waited an hour if you hadn't gotten his attention for me.

"What sort of gentleman would I be if I didn't help a lady in need?" Hook grins at her and leans against the counter, his expression open and friendly.

"And who do I have the utmost pleasure of meeting tonight?"

"Not much of one, I guess." Sharon replies, returning his grin with a small smile of her own. Almost a shy one. Sharon's not really shy, but she's also not really used to being a damsel in distress.

"Sharon." The bartender sets the beer down in front of Sharon on the bar, and she gives him a gentle "thanks" before turning her attention back to her savior. "Sharon Carter. And you are?"
