Hannibal is really quite excited for the dinner party. He hasn't had one in far too long, and has taken great joy in preparing everything just so. Mischa's desserts are in the kitchen, to be served later in the evening, and the staff he hired are setting up platters with his various amuse-bouches.

Hannibal himself is dressed in one of his best suits, a step up from his usual fare but a step down from opera black tie. Hopefully, his guests will understand what 'black tie optional' means and dress accordingly.

Glasses of wine and champagne are circulating, and there's a small bar set up should anyone require something other than that. There are a few staff members lingering in the foyer to open doors and take coats, if the need arises.

Now all he has to do is wait for his guests.

	Hannibal stands not quite off to the side, but around the edges of things, in order to observe everyone, but close enough to the crowd to make himself available to anyone who wishes to meet their host. (Reply to this) (Thread)

Jarvis goes to plenty of parties, but it's not often it's a community event instead of something corporate. It's all quite nice, really, though he's a bit distracted with other things. Still, Jarvis snags a glass of champagne and then seeks out the host to give a proper introduction.

"Mister Lecter?" he asks, coming up on Hannibal. He smiles and holds out his hand. "Edwin Jarvis."

Good manners and proper etiquette had been ingrained into Hela by her mother from a young age-- a sense of order and duty by her father-- so it was only natural Hela's was compelled to pay her gratitude to the party's host. Dr. Hannibal Lecter wasn't hard to find. Smartly dressed in a tailored suit, and easily standing head above most of the surrounding guests, Hannibal stood out like a sore thumb.

Despite the fact that the two doctors had already known each other from their sessions, Hela made the all proper and expected gestures. "Dr. Lecter," she medical examiner cordially spoke, offered a flawless red painted smile and a manicured hand, "I'd wanted to thank you for inviting me to your party this evening."

Fortunately, Loki is no strange to 'black tie optional' and knows exactly how to dress for a cocktail party. It's really one of his first outings since he'd shut himself in because of the dream issues, and, honestly, he's pleased it's at least for a classy reason.

He knocks on the door while Fandral is delayed in the car for some reason or another (likely fussing with his hair or retying his tie for the umpteenth time). No sense in waiting, he can catch up in a few moments. Once he gets let inside, Loki immediately seeks out a glass of wine and gives it a discerning sip, ultimately deciding it meets his approval.

Harry caught wind of the party last minute by chance, but managed to get invited anyway. Sure he was still too young to properly enjoy the cocktail part, but if he was going to be one of Orange County's newest prominent faces, it would do well to start mingling. Also, he just loved a good party.

Unable to sneak himself a real drink, he was sipping on a mineral water with a lime wedge and working his way through the room. He was really starting to enjoy California.

Jace walked through the room feeling like a fish out of water, but he was friends with Abigail, so he decided to show up, at least for a drink of two. This was a long way from something he would normally attend, but he did make the effort.

He saw someone who looked kind of familiar, probably from the network. "Hey," he said, taking a sip of his drink. He looked like a typical California boy with longer, unruly hair. It served him well in modeling though, and he didn't really want to cut it short. He sifted fingers through the blonde locks, but they went right back to the usual place.

She'd spotted someone she didn't know and wandered over, heels clicking on the wooden floor. Even though it wasn't her party, she could pretend that she felt a familial reason to introduce herself to everyone.

"I don't think I've met you before, and I know most of Daddy's friends." She shifted her wine to her left hand before extending the right for him to shake. "I'm Abigail Lecter."
