I know all of you magic users have been waiting for this. By the way, if anyone can come up with a decent name, you'll get extra brownies at the first meeting. We've got a location (think 'underground wine cellar attached to a training dojo') and we're still working on construction but hey, why not get all the duckies in a row?

Speak up if you want to be attached to any of the following magic categories. You can go for more than one if you want. Eventually we'll probably have Heads of each Mini-Club but first I'll see who signs up where and then maybe let you duke it out in a vat of mud if there's more than one person vying for President of the Mini-Club.

Here's what we've got and some examples of each, no way is that the limit. It's just examples for better reference.

Abjuration (healing/protection)
Conjuration (summoning, teleportation, creation)
Divination (gaining information, magic sensing, extra perceptions, clairvoyance)
Enchantment (influencing people, mind reading, invocation, emotional manipulation)
Evocation (calling upon the forces of nature, animate/reanimation, energy manipulation, telekinesis)
Illusion (disappear/reappear, creating illusions that become real)
Necromancy (immortality, undead manipulation)
Potion Creation
Spell Casting (amplification of spells, mixing spells, spell negation)
Transmutation (transform living or non-living things, shapeshifting)

	Internal screaming is good, very enthusiastic. And we're all nerds right alongside you, it seems. I can! If I want to heal myself it's em laeh but anyone else it'd just be their name spelled backwards and then laeh. The force fields can withstand a lot, I just have to hold them there. We've got our own guild of sorcerer's in the world I dream of, so it's all pretty familiar to me. It's literally a college of magic everyone can attend, but then they have a habit of keeping tabs on you making sure you're not wreaking havoc across the land or something. There's someone I know here who's learning transmutation through alchemy, and it'll be good to give him space to kind of 'cut loose.'

Huh. That's kind of an interesting 'words of power' thing you've got going on there? Both abilities are damn nifty though, and we could really use a more adept healer around these parts. I've seen Raven do some healing before on Neal - some extreme stuff - but it's good to spread it through a group.

	Same, sort of. I left the Justice League and joined the Sentinels of Magic instead. It seemed to be more up my alley, like this is. And sure thing, have him cut loose in our lair. It's how I channel the magic, speaking backwards. Kind of weird but it's what the dream self does. I wouldn't want Raven to do it on her own either, that'd be a lot for her. Sentinels of Magic. Sounds, uh, pretty hardcore. We'll have to brainstorm names for this and throw the options in hat or something.

Oh, I definitely get it. There's usually a chant involved in my spells, or I have to actually say the name of it - it's cheesy sometimes, and depending how good I am with the spell, I sometimes don't have to. But there's definitely a thing where certain magical words help boost it along. Then there's the ones that require specific works and specific hand gestures.

Enough internet babbling, I'm sure we can share notes and be all scholarly about this crap in person. We'll probably need some muscle too to help put this all together?

I didn't come up with it, I'm not all that great at names. Someone's got to be better at it than me.

It's tricky because if someone cuts you in the larynx or breaks your hands, it's done. I wish magic was more 'think and it happens' but that'd be too easy.

Muscle would be helpful. Magnus said he could help decorate, bless him. But as for the construction crew stuff? Best left to the muscle-y people.

Hah, exactly! I can do the 'will it and it happens' kind of thing, but the spell won't be as strong, and it depends which one. But if my hands are broken, I'm down for the count officially. It's a good thing we've got teeth to bite with and feet to kick the hell out of someone with, though.

	More ominous and badass than cutesy. Cutesy isn't really my bag. Teeth and feet and a hard skull. I've had my throat compromised a couple times, and then I just wrote in my own blood and it worked. 	Not too much; for me it was just a way to cast since I couldn't speak. But I can't think of any instances offhand where the blood itself was used for anything. Kind of ick, huh? There ya go. Helping maintain their cardiovascular health. (Reply to this) (Parent)
