Who: Multi-thread, OTMany (pups who have dealings with the Third Race and/or magic; humans need escorts or might get enchanted) What: The White Witch's Yule Ball When: Solstice Night Where: The Great Hall
Winter nights always held the best stories told by fires built to keep the chill and the dark howl outside. Extraordindary fairytales, boogeymen, battles and tales from long long ago would be dusted off to entertain or keep children in line. And the winter solstice was the pinnacle of all the smoky magic and shadowed whispers.
It was that night that the courts of Fey, Elf and the Others that Mankind had imagined or stumbled upon would gather to celebrate their subtle regime of power and have a fete of the stuff dreams were made of. This year the frigid White Witch held the feast in her spacious ice cavern-hall, a masquerade of sorts. Tables lined the edges with elegant delicacies and drink of the Third Kind and crystal everywhere reflected the flickering candles held in silver candelabra embedded in the frozen translucent walls. The chatter and laughter of the people in elegant costumes and ornate masks of every style imaginable, mixed with the silvery tunes of the unworldy orchestra, eating, gossiping or dancing. |

Jareth stood at window of his tower overlooking the Southern mazes, playing idly with a crystal ball. The rebuilding had been tiring but now the void where the rose garden had been was filled once again. And now here he was with unemployed attentions. He thought back to Lirael, the amusing Deathwalker who had visited and demanded he change his rule, before offering a token of friendship of a sort to him.
Well, she was interested in details in the upcoming Solstice ball among the Ethereal. And she had wished him to summon her whenever he was bored. Which he seemed to always be.
He tossed the ball in the air, it shifting to a bubble and starting up a summoning spell on the interesting young woman. |

Who: Jareth & Sarah What: Rescue mission of sorts Where: London Warnings: Probably none.
Jareth was pleased to find that he was still at least endowed with his own powers, and with one thought, one simple breath of his name, he was at Sarah's side. Well, so to speak. In fact, he was standing before her, dark and shadowed, wearing very modern attire, though still with the amulet and the slight fanciful look about him. "Now we're both lost." He said with a smug smile. "And lost is something I've never been before." |
