Henry was bouncy as he cleaned. Anya would be over shortly and he was ready, but he felt nervous and bouncy and a little crazy. Food was in the oven, the day had been a good one, and his heart was beating a mile a minute.

He had been working on his chemistry and genetics since he had arrived and his answers had popped up recently, answers that made his heart leap into his throat. Now he had to tell Anya.

His work, life, and world had been a crazy one and now,herein this world, everything was different, everything was changed.

But! It was a good day, yes? yes.

And he waited, eagerly, for his love.

Anya was incredibly nervous, but in a good way. She was sure that whatever Hank had to say, it was big. She was trying not to get too excited before he told her whatever his news was. She had to keep herself from assuming what he was going to say. Trying to keep herself calm, however, only made her more anxious. There were butterflies in her stomach. Was he just going to tell her that he'd invented a new chemical compound?

She took a deep breath, biting back a smile as she knocked on the door.

	Henry bounced as he answered the door an wept her a bow, stepping to the side. "Enter, dear lady! Welcome to my humble abode!" He grinned as his eyes sparkled and he felt as if he might bounce out of his skin. She was here! (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

His mood was definitely encouraging. She smiled brightly, stepping in. "Hello," she said, taking his hand. She wrapped her arms around his neck and leaned in to kiss him lightly on the lips. "I missed you," she purred, having to work to keep her voice soft and calm.

It had been a good day. She always enjoyed lunches with Wanda, but today she had actually had the chance to exchange a few words with Pietro. They would never be best friends, but actually talking was an improvement. It was becoming more like their relationship back home, in her universe. Unfortunately, she could tell Pietro was upset and she knew why. It was difficult, but they were a family.

	Anya laughed, leaning up to kiss him again. "Well, let's make sure the dinner doesn't burn first. I certainly don't mind dining on your lips, but it would be a shame if the house caught fire." She took off her coat, handing it to him. "How was work?" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	He kissed her and grinned. "Ah, very well, then. I will serve dinner as soon as you seat yourself at my table." He grinned. "Work was most excellent. "Oh, so I have to pull myself away? That may be hard," she said, grinning as she leaned up to kiss him again, but then followed him into the dining room and sat down.

She didn't really know very much about DNA. She probably should know more, considering she was a mutant and a teacher, but she had taught the very young children, and you just had to give them a very basic understanding. "Oh?"

He grinned at her, eyes sparkling with intent as he swung out again, carrying plates which he rapidly used to set the table.

The aroma of well cooked food rose from the plates he set out and he soon seated himself beside her. He deftly, or not so deftly, avoided her question,planting a kiss on her lips, before beginning to serve them.

"And how are you, dear one?"

Anya laughed softly, noticing his avoidance of the inquiry, though it could simply be that he missed her question in his excitement. She looked at him quizzically, but the smile remained on her face.

She leaned up, kissing him back and smiling at him. It was lovely to see him this animated. "I am well. I had a lovely lunch with my sister today. She is doing well, considering." She tried to be brief, wrapping up the subject there with her tone instead of sounding like she was waiting for follow up questions. It wasn't that the topic was off-limits, but she did not want to start a long discussion on her family's issues, especially when Hank had something else to say.

"The food looks lovely."

He nodded, eyes darkening for a moment. He hugged her warmly and set her plate in front of her.

"You are a good sister."

Then he pointed out each food, finger foods all, except for the rich sauces they were drenched in. Chicken, and beef, pork and fish, cauliflower and celery, each had their place and dish.

"And work has been very good, love, about letting me have timeto do my own tests..."

His eyes sparkled.

	Anya smiled, her eyes brightening when he mentioned being able to do his own research. Her heart jumped. Did that mean what she thought it meant? "Oh?" she said, her voice lilting musically. Anya's eyes widened and she gave a little squeal of delight. "Hank!" She covered her mouth, laughing loudly. "That's amazing!" She was so excited and relieved and overjoyed.

She was so ecstatic and not even thinking. She climbed onto the table on her knees, crawling the few steps to reach him. She laughed again, hands on either side of his face as she kissed him. Tears were running down her cheeks and she was grinning. "I love you," she said before kissing him again.

	He blushed and bounced and rose to join her, kissing her hard and pulling her close, arms sliding around her body on the table. "I love you, too, dearest lady,so very much." She laughed, wrapping her arms around his neck. "This is," she laughed, grinning. She couldn't even finish the thought. Everything was just right. Things were falling into place and she was just thrilled.

"You're amazing," she said, once her words returned. Unfortunately perhaps for Hank, they was not in English. She was speaking in quick, excited Romani. "I love you. I couldn't be happier."

	She just giggled, hugging him tightly and burying her face into his shoulder. She couldn't stop grinning. "I love you," she repeated, turning her face to look up at him. 	She smiled, nestled against his chest, and still sitting on the table. A Romani curse under her breath, but she was still smiling. "I.. I think I've ruined dinner." 	She smiled, feeling her heart still racing in her chest. She slid down off the table and into his lap, her legs straddling him as she hugged him. She kissed him and then let her head rest on his shoulder, her body draped over his. "I'm so happy," she cooed, nuzzling into his neck.
