Neal had gotten off work in a good mood. He'd visited a little shop in Greenwich Village and managed to find something he thought BB would love, in addition to the necklace he'd gotten. He felt better about this gift. It was more personal.

He walked in the door, looking around, wondering if she was home. "Beebs? You there? It's me." They still had to be sort of careful, even if Keller had been dormant for a little while.

	"Um. I'm super proud of my last one, so I can go again if you want." She took the package in her hands and straddled Neal's lap while she opened it, her forehead resting on his. They were ballet slippers. They were obviously used, older, and lovely. "Oh, Caffrey." Her voice was barely a whisper. (Reply to this)
