This was not how Lorna had thought the day would end. After frying the library's computers, she'd gone for a walk. But things had been following her. Just random things, really.

All of them metal, or at least effected by magnetism.

She tried to outrun them, fear adding to anger. But the more emotional she got, the worse the problem became.

Luckily, things stopped about a foot away from her. But they stayed there. Lots of things that were, by themselves, small, became something very large quickly.

It wasn't long at all before she was encased in metal.

Which only made her curl up in a fetal position in the middle, crying in fear and confusion.

	Pulse had seen her post and knew he would and could make it to help her. By the time he got there, there was a crowd and he anxiously forced his way in. "Lorna? Are you okay?" His power roared in him, and he grabbed the edge of the cocoon, and pulsed. And everything remotely powered in the area went dead. (Reply to this) (Thread)

	Which, of course, only made the situation worse, from the point of view of the campus police, administrative office, and various other officials. The metal shifted precariously. 	She panicked as the feeling came back, but she heard Pulse and nodded, shoving with her will against the metal. It took a moment, but it fell away, and she uncurled slightly, still very upset. But at least things had stopped for the moment. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

he was at her side instantly, his power wrapping around them again as he lifted her in his arms.

"I have you. I have you, dear."

He carried her away, his glare warning anyopne who even thought ot coming toward them to back off. A couple of cops tried and Pulse methodically shut their hearts off as he brushed against them. As soon as he was away, their hearts beat again, but they had dropped for a moment.

He carried her out to his car and started it, moving away into traffic

	Lorna curled instinctively against him. He was familiar, and obviously doing something to keep her safe. That was all that mattered at the moment. She started babbling once they got to the car, her nerves almost completely shot. The words were mixed with liberal amounts of sobbing, but seemed to be mostly along the lines of 'what the fuck was that?' (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	She nodded, burying her head in his ribcage. "Ugh. I get sucked into their weird universe, some jerk dyes my hair green, and now I can't even use a cellphone without frying it." 	He gently stroked her side. "Welcome to the madness." He smiled a little. "Look at it this way. When you learn how to use it, you can likely fly."
