what Old!Gabe appears and Hamish is surprised the guy he was digging is now like 80.
Looking at the journals, Hamish blinked a few times and shook his head. This was insane. He had not even that morning thought how this place wasn't so bad, it wasn't so weird, once you settled and now the guy he was considering asking over to dinner and then perhaps more with...was a senior citizen. That was weird. Not being able to deny it, Hamish still wanted to see it in person, and so he planned to get Riley to bed, make sure she was asleep and have Gabe came over. Maybe it was a trick, or a joke or something. Hamish didn't get it if it was a joke, but still.
So, he sat on the couch, Riley sound asleep, and waited for Gabe's knock, and wandered what would be on the other side when it did come. |

Setting her phone aside, Rebecca had called one of the maids and kindly asked her to get George and Wilson. Of course, Eddie was the first one up the stairs, grinning like and idiot. It wasn't long before George and Wilson followed. Explaining to them what was going to happen, they seemed a bit hesitant but she assured them all would be fine. Plus, it was like Sekhmet said...messing with her would be a stupid idea, since God wouldn't exactly be happy if something happened to Rebecca or her child.
Sekhmet appeared when called and held up her side of the deal. It was a relatively easy birth, though Rebecca was exhausted afterward anyway, holding her little baby girl in her arms after she had been cleaned up and wrapped in a soft pink blanket.
"Hello." She whispered ever so softly as the little child made a noise, eyes barely opening. |

Maybe if she had her powers, she would have known.

This was not how Lorna had thought the day would end. After frying the library's computers, she'd gone for a walk. But things had been following her. Just random things, really.
All of them metal, or at least effected by magnetism.
She tried to outrun them, fear adding to anger. But the more emotional she got, the worse the problem became.
Luckily, things stopped about a foot away from her. But they stayed there. Lots of things that were, by themselves, small, became something very large quickly.
It wasn't long at all before she was encased in metal.
Which only made her curl up in a fetal position in the middle, crying in fear and confusion. |

Spairn was definitely not the person to send out for pizza when the only stipulation on what Gilbert wanted was 'no anchovies'. He'd come away with extra cheese, sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, black and green olives, bell peppers, bacon and red onions to top it all off. There was probably more, but by the time he was in the tiny foyer of the man's apartment building he had forgotten. Anchovies were gross anyway.
There was a security lock on the second door in, but some very sweet little old lady had let him in when she went out looking for her cats. So much for attempting to remember Gilbert's last name - and did he really have to call the guy Gilbert? Couldn't he say 'Gil'? Totally unprofessional, of course, but that was Spairn all over.
He took the stairs two at a time, reading the address off of his palm just to make sure he had the location down and quickly turned into the door with the large number eight stenciled on. Someone was cooking with the door open, or something, because he could smell it all the way down the hall the moment he stepped in and - hey, that was convenient, Gil's door was a short distance away. Closed. Probably for the best.
"Pizza boy!" He called out as he rapped his knuckles along the door, grinning to himself. He'd said this was like a bad porn, hadn't he? All he needed was the baseball cap with the slice of pepperoni on the front. |

A big friendly dog in the room raised its head and got up to walk over and sniff her. Mia rubbed its ears and looked at the collar and identification tag. "Isabel? Your name is Isabel?" The dog seemed to like this and tried to lick her face. She laughed and turned her face away, then went for the door.

Cooper was enjoying the nakedness. She had no reason not to. She certainly didn't have anything to be ashamed of, and as the saying went 'If you've got it, flaunt it'. Well, she definitely had it. Besides, Tree was coming over and damn if she didn't look good. Coop was looking forward to finally having a little fun. It was hard, to some degree, adjusting here. She missed home sometimes, even with Kyoko here. Maybe she just needed to get laid.
She was perched on her couch, naked save for the necklace and shoes she'd been wearing when her clothes disappeared. It was a good look, she'd decided, and one she wouldn't mind trying it out again some time, of her own volition. When Claire had looked in the mirror not long after her discussion with Nathan and Peter and everyone else, she'd gotten a bigger surprise then just bursting into song. "Oh holy god.." she squeaked, eyes wide and then she quickly ran for Nathan's room, probably waking everyone else up with her shouting. "Oh god oh god.. Nathan I.. shit shit.."
This was way way way weird. Very weird. "I'm old.. I'm OLD...older.. sorry.. but old!" she went into his room without really knocking or announcing herself. Hopefully he heard her shout for him on her way across the hall. |

She'd managed to get to her dad's place without any trouble. Luckily it wasn't that far away, and though the guards were reluctant to believe her, she finally showed enough ID to get in. After getting her two puppies, Jude and Pipsqueak, settled in with Biggles she lugged herself up the stairs and changed into her maternity pajamas. They weren't the prettiest things, but dark blue, flannel, warm and comfortable. She wasn't dressing to impress, especially since her husband in this time period was a teenager.
Settling back against the pillows she sighed rather contently and put in her ear bud headphones, listening to a band called 'Feeder' on her iPod. Relaxing, she rested her hands on her stomach and smiled a little as she felt her daughter kick. |
