Alice was actually a bit nervous, and her fingers itched for a cigarette. She'd long since quit, but at times, when she was nervous, she still longed for the calm that nicotine gave. She hadn't been on a first date since she'd met Dan, and that had ended up quite poorly. But Kon was cute, and he was sweet. That even came out in text. It had charmed her enough to want to find out more.

She paced in her jeans and white men's button-down, shivering a bit. She hoped she'd recognize him when she saw him.

"You're going to make me stuck blushing, and then I'll lose my job." She wrapped an arm around his waist once he was out of the car, guiding him toward the pub.

"So. You're a hero. Do you like it?" She'd always been self-reliant, picking up and moving to other countries without a dime and still landing on her feet. She wondered how it would feel to have a hero, someone to rely on.

	He blushed and shook his head. "They wouldn't dare. Your blush looks like heaven." He grinned and walked with her, enjoying her warmth, his own arm settling around her, hand at her waist. 	"I do too, but I'm not... I can really only do it one on one." She supposed it's why she'd always picked people she needed to save in past relationships. Dan had been as sad as the obituaries he'd written, like he'd forgotten how to live. She liked to think she'd shown him. They pushed inside the pub and she showed him over to a booth. 	He nodded, slowly. "I... probably would suck at it if it were not for these powers of mine." he smiled at her. "I feel hungry. I don't need to eat, but the habit and sensation is there. Alice sat down, motioning for him to sit next to her. There wasn't really a menu, just some food items printed on a piece of paper. She read it over again, letting her head rest on his shoulder as she did so.

"I'm sure you'd be good at it. You're honest, and that's what's important when you help people. That, and the desire to do it. That's what I think." She shrugged and looked up at him, trying not to say anything too stupid.

"Clearly, you don't know that many cute people." She blinked a little, not totally sad that his face was so close to hers. She angled her body upward until her lips were pressed to his, closing her eyes and really thinking about how it felt. He was soft, and he smelled clean - not overly cologned. Like a guy should smell. She wrapped her arms around his neck and let her fingers run through the soft hair at the base of his neck.

	She sighed a bit, nuzzling into him even after the kiss had parted. She didn't believe in love at first sight, but after first kiss? Well, she knew she wanted to see him a lot more. "Mmm. "Those are good too! I'll have some pastrami and get some mints, then. It's decided." She set the menu aside and wiggled out of the booth to go place their orders. She got them both waters as well as a pint - that way if he didn't drink, he could just have the water.

When she settled back down into the booth, she beamed at him. "You're sure you're okay being seen with a Playboy bunny?"

	Alice blushed a little. Normally, she was fairly immune to flattery, but normally the flattery she recieved wasn't quite so honest. "Thank you." She curled up next to him again, beaming. "So. Alice grinned and answered all of his questions, ticking them off on her fingers as she spoke.

"I actually really love Indian food - I lived right above one last time I was here in London. So curry, garlic naan, stuff like that. Man from behind, absolutely." She grinned, letting her eyes meet his, amused at his adorable slip. Maybe he wasn't 100% nice after all. "And as far as activities, I love reading. I like getting lost in librarires, you know?"

She kissed his bottom lip gently, moving to kiss his cheek and whisper in his ear. "So far away? You're mean, Buster."

"It is good. We'll have to order in sometime, watch some old movies." She let her fingers play through his hair, feeling goosebumps rise on her skin as he mentioned sexual activity. It had been a long period of self-imposed celibacy on her behalf, and she squirmed a bit in her seat.

"I don't think that. You're smart enough to let me go to work when I need to. But you're smart enough to figure out that we're going to go back to my place after this, silly."

Alice grinned broadly and leaned upward a bit to nibble on his earlobe. "Of course I am." She let her teeth and hot breath graze over his skin, only pulling away when the man behind the counter called out that their food was done.

She got up on wobbly legs to go get the sandwiches, returning with red cheeks. It was funny to keep up the whole "date" part of the date, knowing that both of them wanted to get to the other part.

"I'm sure we're going to eat fairly quickly."
