Nimue enjoyed the quiet of this world, at times. Mordred had gone to bed already. She was sprawled out over the couch, book in hand. Most of the lights in the apartment were out, but she had a lamp on the end table providing illumination for her to read.

She could hear Mordred's quiet breathing in the next room, and was glad to know he was safe. This world afforded them more certainty, which was a blessing. They didn't have to worry about Uther's knights raiding them in the middle of the night. She wasn't bound to a fate that she needed to follow through on. They could make their life into what they pleased, and that's exactly what she was doing.

	"For what it's worth, Merlin, you don't need to worry about any insecurities from me. Mordred and I will be fine here." She smiled, draped over him now. She was closer than she had been to him in some time, the contours of her body pressed against him. "It isn't a problem for me, no," she purred. "You know how I feel, Merlin." 	Nimue smiled. She had loved him for a long time, and had told him so before. This was the first time he had said it, though. "I love you too, Merlin." She stroked her fingers over his cheek, looking into his eyes. "More than anything." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	She kissed him back, her eyes closing. "Darling, Mordred's asleep. If you'd like, you could stay here tonight." She'd gotten a machine that made white noise to help Mordred sleep. It had 'nature sounds' that made him feel more at home. It would also help drown out any noise that she and Merlin might make. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
