Who: River Tam and V.
What: Walking, talking, asskicking.
When: Tuesday night.
Where: The streets of London.
Warnings: None that I can think of. Quirk?

Even though she wore what most would call "stompy boots", River Tam was whisper quiet as she walked around Brixton. She'd heard whispers that it wasn't the best part of town, but she wasn't afraid. Most people were motivated by wealth or power. River had no money with her and she would never allow herself to be overpowered. The hem of her skirt floated around her like the petals of a flower, her skinny legs stronger than they looked.

She was aware of footsteps behind her, but she couldn't hear any angry thoughts. She sometimes hated being a Reader, overhearing snatches of thought that she had no right knowing, but it was something she'd gotten used to a very long time ago.

He nodded once and swiftly swooped down over the crumpled man, who was soon a crumpled corpse with a broken neck. It was quick, and it would quiet that mind faster than a slit throat. He decided to leave the bodies as they were. "That takes care of that, then. I do believe, however, we've overstayed our current welcome in Brixton," he put his hand out to her, clearly with intent to take her as quickly and as far away from that part of London as possible. He knew the streets better than most. They hadn't changed from his reality to this one, which had been a quick relief to him. "Quickly now."
