Who: Merlin and Nimue
What: A reunion... Of sorts.

Nimue was shaken. Everything had been planned out for her, before. Maybe the plan--her fate--wasn't perfect, but there was comfort in the knowing, and in Merlyn's acceptance of it. There was comfort in Merlyn... But that had changed. This Merlin remembered her differently. As an evil villainess who wanted him dead. Nimue had certainly been called evil before, and wouldn't claim to be innocent, but the accusations hurt, coming from Merlyn. Her Merlyn had thought fondly of her, and seemed to see good in her that she had been unaware of. She cared for Merlyn a great deal.

Now that he was young and remembered her differently, she didn't know what to think. She didn't know what that meant for them. She did know, however, that she desperately wanted his company. She was in a strange place, confused and frightened, and she longed for her traveling companion. They needed to talk. She needed to show him she was different. Her Merlyn was very powerful, and she feared his wrath. Just because he looked like a boy didn't mean she could let down her guard. Still, she wanted to be in his presence.

Merlin was sitting in a cafe. Using a spell Merlyn had taught her, she transported herself to his side, and took a seat at the table across from him. The fact that the spell, attuned to her Merlyn, worked to bring her to this Merlin confirmed that they were the same.

	It would be a very long time before their destinies could be fulfilled, then. Luckily, Nimue's people were long-lived. She could wait. "It feels strange teaching you." Against their natures, almost. She shook her head. "It was just a focus crystal. You need it more than I do." She pulled a small glowing stone from her pocket. "This is the one Merlyn gave me." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	He shrugged a little with a sheepish grin, "It feels a little weird learning from you. My last teacher was an old man..." He smiled at her, pulling the leather cord around his neck and fasting it there. "Thank you." He brought the crystal close to his face and studied it a bit. 	"I hope you will find another teacher here," she said, sounding a little distant. So many things were changing with this development. "My education is not yet complete." 	"Well, it looks like I'll be going to Taunton. Professor Dumbledore showed me around, he's the headmaster there. Apparently they teach people with powers and those that use magic. Nimue shook her head, a bit horrified at the suggestion she attend the school. "You have to be the one to teach me. It's my destiny. If I have to wait a little longer for that to happen..." she shrugged, "so be it."

She chuckled a little. "Well, the tug is meant to give you warning, and allow you to communicate beforehand, if you are able to exchange words with your mind."

	Merlin looked up at her. "I've never really been a teacher. Seems a little weird." "Um, I've never really spoken to people with my mind. A few people spoke to me, but I'm not really sure how to do that." there was so much he was suppose to be able to do. It was a bit overwhelming. It felt like a lot on his shoulders. 	Nimue smiled. "I have a feeling you will grow into it." Her Merlyn had been a wonderful teacher, if a little absent-minded at times. She suspected much of that was an act, however. Nimue nodded. 	"I generally am a pretty quick learner with magic and all, but I'm sure it will take me forever to get caught up with your level, let alone above it." 	Nimue couldn't help chuckling. She had always known Merlyn as a powerful wizard, not a blushing boy. "I was your companion. You shared with me your knowledge, and in exchange I.." 	Merlin nearly choked on his drink. "I. Uh. I mean. We must have... ah, traveled together for a long time. I mean, we've just met and all." He was still bright red and tried to stop his mouth from going on and on. She was probably just teasing him anyway. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Nimue smirked, running a fingernail along his thumb. She just couldn't help being so amused. He was more attractive than his old man self. "That's true, it was a long time." She laughed and sat back, releasing his hand. "Don't worry, darling. I won't ask anything of you. Only that you accept me as your student, when you are ready." She smirked. "And perhaps as something more, when you are ready."

	Merlin squirmed a bit in his chair. "I. If I get to the point where I know more magic than you I would be happy to teach you." He looked around as if searching for an escape. 	Nimue chuckled. "I will try to be patient, then. But I warn you, it isn't one of my strong suits." She was smiling, still teasing. She didn't want him scared.
