It had taken him a few minutes, to properly peruse his new body, doing the showering and dressing thing with a new sense of appreciation for the female form before heading to the portkey. He shivered a little under the long jacket he wore, considering all he had under it was the lingerie Jaime had left to him, his jeans not fitting over his hips, shirts not liking his new bustline. Still, he was covered enough that he only got a few looks for his bare feet, as he jogged his way to Alma's apartment.

God, they jiggled.

Taking a moment to giggle at that, an utterly bizarre sound, he knocked on the door to warn her, before letting himself in, clearing his throat and calling out in an unfamiliar voice?

"Alma? It's... me."

	"Mmmmm, inna fridge." She said with a nod. "Girl can never have too much chocolate." She nestled in though, content just there. 	Mark was content to settle down with her, not really interested in the cake just then- at least, not as much as he was in the warm, soft body next to his. Fingers reached over to gently turn Alma's head to face her, as Mark leaned down to give her a soft-but-insistent kiss. "Hey," He sat back enough to look in her eyes, needing her full attention, "We're going to have a wonderful time together, no matter how long it is, but I'll be damned if I'm going to hear you talk like that, alright? Wilson's the best at what he does, you caught it early... and you're not- you're here, with me. Past that, all we have is hope, I know. But getting down on it isn't any good, okay?"

She nodded quickly, swallowing hard to push back an outpour of emotion that was quickly building up in her throat. She sighed and nodded again. "Okay." Another nod. "'m sorry." The prospect of being taken away from her father and Drew was terrible. But it seemed like that of being taken away from him when she'd just found him, found tese feelings for him, seemed almost tragic. And it had kept her up all night worrying over it. She wouldn't tell him any of that because female or not, Mark was someone she just understood, he didn't have to go on and on about something, she just knew. She was pretty sure it ran both ways. "'s gonna be ok."

	She met him halfway, pressing er lips to his, listening to him. The last bit did it. She certainly didn't go into hysterics, but a few tears rolled down her face and she quickly turned it from him to wipe them. "I'm sorry." She shook her head. "There's nothing to apologize for, baby," He ran a hand through her hair again, before gently pulling her in for a kiss, gentle, hopefully comforting. "I'm not going anywhere. Neither of us are. Believe that, and everything else will work out."

Mark had heard this sort of talk all his life, directed at his father, his mother through her divorce; it probably seemed counterintuitive that she would be so caring, but there it was.

She did calm down, her arms moving around Mark's body for a brief moment while she let her nerves calm down, her breathing not hitched with potential sobs. There was a reason he'd come into her life when he had. She had to believe it wasn't so she could lose him at the last minute.

Sighing she shook her head at her behavior. "Now you can see why we need chocolate so much, shit like that possesses us." She joked wryly, moving back to press a kiss to his jaw.

'We're having a baby' quickly came to mind, before Mark shot that down- with her chemo, that would be cruel, to.. remind her like that.

Suddenly, a smile bloomed on her face, and she shifted to look up at Alma with a devious little eyebrow waggle.

"We could say we're eloping," That was... dangerous to bring up, she knew. But it was a joke. And it would be pretty shocking.

She giggled at that, kissing her back with a big smile, even if it wasn't quite in her eyes. "And have your dad kill me for buying you something cheap? No, baby, you get the best," Making a little face, she tried to inject some sarcasm into that, and failed.

Mark had been joking... right? God, she didn't know. The thought made her laugh more, even if it had a bitter edge to it.
